irrational fear or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals. What is homophobia Teen?
So how did homophobia personal effect you?irrational fear or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals.
Why God would be against homosexuality in the first place?Sorry but what exactly is confusing you?
It added to my anxiety, depression, and suicidal feelings. So how did homophobia personal effect you?
CCC2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,141 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved. Why God would be against homosexuality in the first place?
So for you to accept what I state, I have to be mentioned in the Bible. But not only that, I must be mentioned as an authority of its translation/interperation.No, I’m not kidding. You want me to accept your interpretation of Scripture, and I want to know upon what basis or what authority I should accept that interpretation. The only entity given this authority in Scripture, by Jesus, is the Catholic Church.
Why shouldnt you?Why should I accept your authority regarding what constitutes a “good” translation?
Yes this is a popular one, unfortunatly the translation is difficult and could mean several things.Leviticus 18:22
22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.
Well thats pretty much the same as the one above, except the death penalty has been added.Leviticus 20:13
13 If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.
**He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? **
Well thats more to do with divorce and adultery than homosexuality. Sorry but that doesnt really help.1 Timothy 1:8-11
8 Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, 9 understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, 10 the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, [1] liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound [2] doctrine, 11 in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.
Well this translation is bad for starters (using the term homosexuality), it cant really be known what is meant because the word “arsenokoitai” (which your quote translates as “men who practice homosexuality”) appears to be a word that Paul made up. There is no record of anyone using the term before Paul and literally means “man” (arsen) “bed” (koitai). If he had wanted to infer homosexuality, he would have used the word “paiderasste.” which was the standard Greek term for sexual behaviour between men.
So its not clear what is meant.
Actually we simply dont know if he was for or against it, the four Gospels seem to be silent on the subject. Maybe he did say something but it wasnt recorded or that record was lost or destroyed. If Jesus really thought that homosexuality was A-OK, don’t you think he would have told his apostles that? Instead, his apostles, mere years after His ascension, taught that homosexual acts were immoral.
The thing is that we dont know.
Do you honestly think Jesus would have allowed his apostles to be wrong on such an issue?
Intentially, no. But then again it may not have been a big issue.
genuine affection? they doCCC2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

I wasn’t wearing it at the time(but it is uber-fabulous)If that is the case then I am sorry.
That is not how Christians/Catholics anybody is supposed to treat a homosexual person.
CCC2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.
Well the pink nail polish might contradict that![]()
