[/QUOTE]For me to accept what you state, you have to prove to me that Christ Himself gave you the authority to interpret and/or translate Scripture correctly.
Can you do that?
Why shouldnt you?Now how exactly would I or anyone else be able to do that?
What makes you say that it isnt? What makes your translation and/or your interpretation of these Biblical passages superior to mine? Or superior to the Church’s?
Not at all.By suggesting it’s “unclear,” then you imply it should be accepted.
What I am saying is that (for me anyway) I would want to be 100% certain of something before I attack someones chosen “lifestyle” for being wrong/immoral. Since it is not clear, I cant say that it is wrong (I can say that I dont agree with it, which I dont being hetrosexual).
Why dont you tell me.Tell me, what did Christ say to do when there was a dispute? Did He tell us to go to the Bible or to go to the Church?
Sadly, we dont know. Although it would make things easier if we did know.We DO know, and we CAN know.
No comment.Christ anticipated matters like these; that’s why he set up a Church and gave it teaching authority.
Yet is isnt mentioned in the Gospels.Actually, homosexuality was an issue because it (homosexuality) was practiced in pagan cultures, and a lot of pagan converts to Christianity had to be taught why homosexual acts were immoral. Which is why the Church taught about it in the earliest centuries.
Also this was covered in your Romans Scripture quote you did earlier.
