How silly of you:bowdown2:

I don’t pray to God to pray for me so If I am asking for someone to pray for me it goes to reason that I am asking that person to pray to God. It isn’t even a good job of twisting words:stretcher:
Is it not true that a catholic who prays the hail Mary is imploring her help (not the Lord Jesus) at the hour of death?

Does not the Catholic church teach that if you don’t belong to the church you will be condemned? ** **

**

T1T,
you asked that question 7 times today go back and read your posts. Bringing your total for that question alone to 136 times in the last two weeks.:whacky:
The answer hasn’t changed. 19 cathlics responded to you. “The Catholic church does not teach that if you don’t belong to the church you will be condemned?”
Now I will admit that some of us think that it might not be a bad idea to teach that! It might scare the hell out of some heretics. But the CC believes in always telling the truth . (I will explain that concept to you at a later date)

As you were told 14 times, this week: We do teach that Christians not fully in communication **with the Holy See and following distorted and false christian beliefs may still be saved through the “graces” given to it by Jesus and the HS. (Matthew 18:18) This thread is almot woven. Please wait until another thread starts to ask that question again. My head hurts! :banghead:
What are 5 characteristics of worship?

God bless, My friend. :signofcross:

I realize that you are really on a quest to find the true way to Jesus. I must commend you and wish you all the luck while you struggle with your doubts and mistrust. We are here for you and will help you swim the Tober. Although in all honestly, at the Secret Catholic Meeting, several of the “mean” catholics talked about holding your head under the water! I think they were convereted Baptist. They some imes like to “over do” things!

Later

Don’t you want everyone you know to pray for you in the hour of your death?

I accept these titles-names for God because that is the way the Scriptures refer to them. The term given to all 3 is called the Trinity. The term rightly applies to God.
The term Seat of Wisdom for Mary is a term never used of her in the Scriptures and implies far more to her than the Scriptures grant.** Mary in and of herself possesses no wisdom in the sense that it has its orgin in her.**
Such a statement makes it clear that you do not understand the title or it’s meaning. This being the case, it is right for you not to use it.

None of us possess anything that does not have it’s origin in God. When He says that He has made us into prophets, priest, and kings, these titles do not originate with ourselves, but with what He has done for us.

Mary clearly says “He has done great things for me”. She gives HIm all the glory. Jesus is the wisdom of God, and He made her lap His seat. She is the seat of Wisdom. 👍
These titles have a specific function in exalting Mary to a status that goes beyond what the Scriptures say about her. We must not go beyond what the Scriptures say otherwise we are speculating and misleading people.
If you believe this, ja4, then I think it is best that you not use these titles. If you notice, no one here at CAF has used them except yourself. If anyone is speculating and misled, it is you. For your own spiritual health, I recommend that you cease and desist bringing up these titles, since they are clearly a stumbling block for you!

As far as the Scripture, the Catholic Church does not have the same artificial limitation that you have placed upon yourself. Since those who wrote the NT were Catholic, we know that Catholic teaching was already in existence before a word of the NT was every written, so we were already “beyond” the scripture before it came into existence.

If you believe that anything that is not in the scripture is speculatiing and misleading, I also urge you not to watch tv, radio, or read any books. Come to think of it, being on the internet is probably not a good idea either!
Depends what you are referring to. All doctrines etc must be compared to what the Scriptures say. If the doctrine (in this case titles) do not match with the Scriptures then they are to be rejected.
You wont find internet in there! Maybe you better save your soul from speculation! 😉
Code:
It is wrong to say things about Mary that the Scriptures do not.
If you believe this, why do you keep doing it?
True. It is inappropiate to refer to Mary with titles of deity or implied deity.
Clearly, what “implies diety” to you is quite different than it is for us. 🤷
Paul warned in 2 Corinthians 11:3 about being led astray from devotion to Christ. You cannot be deovted to Christ and someone else at the sametime. The Scriptures are clear about this.
I agree. That is why it puzzles me that you search far and wide for prayers and devotions you believe are errors, post them, and keep quoting them. No one else here does that. Don’t you think you should follow your conscience?
I expect to be challenged. What is unusual so far with you is that you have not blasted me…
I am working on being charitable with the ignorant. My failure to do so is a character defect of mine. 😃

Not according to pope Pope Boniface VIII. Here is his part of his bull from 1302:
"Unam Sanctum
(On Papal Primacy)
Papal Bull of His Holiness Pope Boniface VIII, promulgated November 18, 1302
Urged by faith, we are obliged to believe and to maintain that the Church is one, holy, catholic, and also apostolic. We believe in her firmly and we confess with simplicity that outside of her there is neither salvation nor the remission of sins, as the Spouse in the Canticles [Sgs 6:8] proclaims: ‘One is my dove, my perfect one. She is the only one, the chosen of her who bore her,’ and she represents one sole mystical body whose Head is Christ and the head of Christ is God [1 Cor 11:3]. In her then is one Lord, one faith, one baptism [Eph 4:5]. There had been at the time of the deluge only one ark of Noah, prefiguring the one Church, which ark, having been finished to a single cubit, had only one pilot and guide, i.e., Noah, and we read that, outside of this ark, all that subsisted on the earth was destroyed. "
Here is the last sentence of this bull that also is clear:
“Furthermore, we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff.”
Protestants are not in subjection to the pope and are thereby condemned.

** Yea, if we could only get “You know who” to say 10 I really think it would be the last push he would need to have his eyes opened. I mean we explain and exoplain again and again. He knows that we speak the truth. He just need Mary’s help to have her Son open his eyes.

Come on Catholics Lets pray for JA4.(Hey JA4 you can join in with us! we promise not to tell the others!)

Hail Mary Full of Grace the Lord is with thee.

Exactly how many*** Protestant*** churches were there in 1302? Really, JA4, I thought you were smarter than that. :tsktsk:

For those Christians who know me yes. I would not want them to pray to the dead for me though.
Are those in Heaven dead? I thought we were changed into incorruptible immortality, and we live forever with God in Heaven? Now you’re telling me that I’ll be DEAD in Heaven? How very disappointing. All these years that I’ve been a Christian and looking forward to Heaven, and now, according to you, I’ll just be DEAD. Harumph.

Oh Good grief, seriously? I didn’t know what was meant by that because there is no death in Heaven!

Back up on that one JustAsking. Let’ hear from you…

They are dead to this world and have nothing do with it. The Scriptures never teach some kind of communication between humans who have died and those on this earth. What it does teach is that the Lord Jesus is our Advocate before the Father and answers those prayers according to His name and will. Only He alone is our Great High Priest.
