I'm getting tired of hearing from Protestants that we worship Mary and the saints!

They are dead to this world and have nothing do with it. The Scriptures never teach some kind of communication between humans who have died and those on this earth. What it does teach is that the Lord Jesus is our Advocate before the Father and answers those prayers according to His name and will. Only He alone is our Great High Priest.
Actually, the Scriptures do teach that those in Heaven are aware of what’s happening on earth, and Scriptures do teach that they are praying for us. Yep, it’s even in your condensed Bible. 👍

Bye all and thanks for the conversation.

Anyone interested in continuing this on another thread?

Just Kidding!

Peace Be With You!

You too Rob. 😛

Are you referring the Revelation 6:10?

Hey, wait, are we not closed?? We’re still here 😃
Fortunately or unfornuately depending if you are Protestant or Catholic. I would think catholics are happy this thread is almost done. I suspect it had not been to pleasant for them… :whackadoo:

I’m not happy about it at all - I really thought we were making some headway in building understanding. No amount of persuasion from Non-Catholics will convince me that I worship Mary and the saints when I know full well that I do not.

Oh no, on the contrary I was enjoying it.

You are rejoicing in your supposition that this thread was not pleasant for Catholics? That is, you assume that this thread was not fun for Catholics and for that, you are happy?

…Do the moderators need to be informed to close this thread? Has anybody informed them?

I am so glad that I had a chance to read the posts on this topic and also get some questions answered.
I believe that if the topic stays current, there should be no reason to close it down.
Now if there had been no activity or people were just “throwing mud”,then I can see closing it.
I never even had any idea that Catholics felt the way they do about protestants, till I visited this and other such treads.
I understand you more. And I have grown to love the Catholic faith.
Sadly,I am still not able to convert to Catholicism, but it’s not too late till they seal the casket.

It’s not so much of the posts staying on topic, but once a thread gets to around 1,000 pages, it is closed…but, I don’t know how that works (if the Mods need to be modified or they’ll check periodically).
