My daughter is 15 months, and its very obvious that my mom disapproves. She told me “Once they start biting, that’s it.” When I jokenly mentioned that my daughter was starting to bit me (awhile back) to get my reaction, my mom was like “now its time to stop.” My daughter doesn’t bite me anymore. Biting is typically a sign that she’s not really hungry anymore, so I just would take it away. She’s learned that if she wants to keep sucking, she can’t bite. Unforunately the hard part is that she sometimes wants to nurse in public and will not stand for an ounce of modesty.
