No, what I am saying was very clearly written…Are you saying that is the reason Pence could not say “Black Lives Matter”?
As to what Pence has to do with it is your issue. The American Cancer society has not caused violence and criminal activity.

because 2+2=4 is racistWhy Science is real, why not “Math is Real”,
would you accept a religious statement?Sometimes a school should post what it believes.
It’s basically science that is being denied by the plandemic conspiracy theorists.
Later it morphed into flat earthers on this Catholic site…Ignoring the question of “what science thinks”, I do think the gender essentialist crowd struggles a bit more with making the biological facts fit their schema. Most of them want to reduce sex to a question of what chromosomes an individual has, but there are people with XY chromosomes that are born with external female genitalia and appear to be fully female. When it comes to actually discussing the facts most of them just want to handwave the actual range of possibilities that exist in terms of physical sex, while appealing to some dogmatic belief that biology supports them.
I think most Catholics believe the earth is an oblate spherhoid and believe in science in general. You’re right
Have you seen the flat earth thread that just came out?
The thought “Black Lives Matter” has not caused violence or criminal activity. Pence is involved in this issue because he seemed to have had a reluctance or inability (or a refusal) to make his face say “Black Lives Matter”.Nepperhan:![]()

Agreed, that’s the worst of it. There are fools everywhere, but in a school even the fools need to be able to read and write.Maybe they could spend more time teaching spelling, rather than pontificating about how politically virtuous they are.
Yes, at a religious school. My school had a sign on the door: “Let it be known to all who enter here that Jesus Christ is the reason for this school, the teacher, the model and the inspiration.”would you accept a religious statement?

No, not what was posted at my parochial school. I don’t believe in putting my religion on others. You know, religious freedom and all that.would you accept it at a public school?

what if the public school believed it,Sometimes a school should post what it believes.
Because he is unwilling to pledge his support to an anti-family, anti-American organization? To believe that the expression is just three little words, with no greater significance is naive at best.Pence is involved in this issue because he seemed to have had a reluctance or inability (or a refusal) to make his face say “Black Lives Matter”.
I think the point is that whether you call it “public school” or “default school” or whatever, people hope there’ll be a non-private ‘default’ school system accessible to them at least as an option, that will stick to just teaching kids non-controversial subjects like math and grammar, without trying to mold them into little soldiers for some specific belief system. A school system that leaves topics particular to religious (or philosophical) belief, in the realm of whatever the parents teach at home.Nepperhan:![]()

You misconstrue the idea with the organization. Pence could not state support for the idea-- that’s sad.Because he is unwilling to pledge his support to an anti-family, anti-American organization?
you can’t tell the difference on the street… or in the news. You misconstrue the idea with the organization
I talked of my school. There’s really no religious content to the sign.I think the point is that whether you call it “public school” or “default school” or whatever, people hope there’ll be a non-private ‘default’ school system accessible to them at least as an option , that will stick to just teaching kids non-controversial subjects like math and grammar, without trying to mold them into little soldiers for some specific belief system.
You and I both know that the organization has few people but the idea has promoted protests nationwide.you can’t tell the difference on the street… or in the news.
is the looter part of the idea or organization… or both?
There’s implicit religious (/anti-religious) content to the sign.I talked of my school. There’s really no religious content to the sign.
Folks here have been unable to state disagreement with the sentiments. Is this politicization of a public school? Not really, the sign seems to contain some generic bromides. If that seems to make some people uneasy, I don’t know why.
we don’t know thatYou and I both know that the organization has few people but the idea has promoted protests nationwide.
