Because he thinks Biden is not very bright? That’s a conclusion anybody who’s watched Biden speak can reasonably come to.
  1. That’s not the conclusion “anybody who’s watched Biden can reasonably come to”
  2. It’s inappropriate for an American President to say that about a former Vice President
  3. It’s inappropriate to side with a dictator against a former VP
  4. It’s inappropriate to refer to a for VP as Sleepy Joe Biden
  5. The tweet is beneath the Office of the Presidency.

Muller left a blueprint for later prosecution and/or congressional inquiry. And Trump doesn’t need Democrats to make him look bad. He wished Japanese sailors a Happy Memorial Day. He sided with the dictator of North Korea against a former US Vice President, on foreign soil.
Not a blueprint. More a vague suggestion. If he had a “blueprint” he could have charged Trump. He didn’t have one.

I guess Japanese sailors don’t have any dead to remember, so wishing them a happy Memorial Day was pointless, right? Possibly you’re not aware that to most Americans Memorial Day is a day to remember all who have died, e.g., your grandmother, your friend, your uncle, etc, as well as those who died in war. And he didn’t “side” with Kim against Biden. Kim and Biden don’t have a conflict with each other, and certainly didn’t during the Obama administration.

And you did condemn Trump for “probably” doing illegal things as part of your argument for congressional investigations aimed at impeachment.

Same with “acting guilty”.

You would impeach him for no good reason at all. You can’t come up with a good reason. Admit it.

He chose to not indict because there was insufficient evidence.

Why are there Congressional committees investigating the President? Partly because he has probably done illegal things,
Diane Feinstein should be investigated because she probably knew she had a Chinese spy on her staff for twenty years.

What? You want evidence? Why do you need evidence. It’s probably true.

🤣

Biden’s said some pretty nasty things about Trump, and some of his Democrat compatriots have said even nastier things about Trump, but so what. Saying inappropriate things is not grounds for impeachment.
It’s inappropriate to side with a dictator against a former VP
But it’s okay for a former Secretary of State to side with a dictator against a sitting President, as John Kerry is doing in Iran?

It’s inappropriate to refer to a for VP as Sleepy Joe Biden
But not inappropriate to refer to a President as a traitor, Russian pawn, or criminal? Okay, but I still don’t see how Trump referring to Biden as “Sleepy Joe” falls into the category of an impeachable offense.
The tweet is beneath the Office of the Presidency.
Even if true, “tweeting beneath the dignity of the Presidency” isn’t an impeachable offense.

It was DiFi (Feinstein) not Bella Pelosi that had the Chinese spy working for them. But both women are equally despicable.

But I would definitely agree that Pelosi should be investigated, how much her worth is, and how she became so wealthy being a public servant.

DiFi should be thoroughly investigated too.

You are correct. I will fix my post.
Thank you

Ridgerunner, was it totally lost on you wishing a “Happy Memorial Day” is wrong on it’s face? There is nothing happy about it.

And, wishing a happy Memorial Day, a day we honor our war dead, to sailors of a nation that caused many of those casualties is just plain dumb. It is totally devoid of understanding of the place he was (a Japanese warship) and the people he was talking to (Japanese sailors)

I had a “Happy Memorial Day” placing flags on grave sites at a Veteran’s Cemetery. It was a great group of people, and we had a lot of fun. Nobody felt the need to don sackcloth and ashes.

Japan had a lot of war dead too, and they still honor them there. And now, they’re not our enemy, they’re our ally, so I’m not sure what is wrong with an American President making a remark acknowledging their honored dead on the day we remember our own.

What we have clearly discovered is the “left” are fundamentally a bunch of bigots.

They are far more concerned with how someone looks, their speech patterns and sense of humor than with actual policy.

Time to get a new Irony Meter

I see your point. We should hate Japanese sailors because of what their grandfathers did almost 80 years ago, and show it, particularly if they invite one of us onto one of their ships.

Come on, you’re better than that.

Memorial Day is an American holiday, and means nothing to the Japanese. No need to even mention it. Trump made the same remarks to them as he did American sailors. That’s just plain tone deaf.

There is, or can be, a sort of spiritual repose with Memorial Day. An aspect of the “Communion of Saints”, one guesses, to which no other day (other than All Souls Day) is dedicated. I don’t think it’s a grim occasion at all. As expressed in a poem I once read: “Horizontal years do not seem to count” on that day.

I once shared a long plane ride with an elderly Japanese man who (astonishingly) had been in the Kwantung Army in China. To him, the war was an unrelieved horror for both sides in that theater. Hunger, filth, disease, shortage of medicine. Now and then a plane would land from Japan bearing the chrysanthemum symbol. He and his fellows knew that meant they would be required to advance again. Anyone who balked was shot or beheaded. He and many of his fellows hated the nobles who directed the officers. He very nearly fell into the hands of the Russians when the war ended, but by a fluke he was captured by Americans, fed, treated, and almost immediately put on a ship to Japan. Those who fell into Russian hands never returned. The old soldier was, he said, always grateful to the Americans.

The cherry trees in D.C. given to the U.S. by Japan don’t have the same meaning for Americans as they do for Japanese. But we didn’t cut them down even during WWII.
Memorial Day is an American holiday, and means nothing to the Japanese
You’re right. They can’t understand reverence for the dead, and have no regard for ancestors.

Really ,get out of your echo chamber, your are repeating verbatim the memes put out by the leftist Dems.
How do you feel about JB and Obama both taking jabs at Trump while in foreign nations.Does that bother you as well?.🤨

I agree with you re Memorial Day being a somber day of remembrance however this is getting pretty nit picky to focus on this issue. I mean Obama was honoring all of our active duty soldiers on Memorial Day in a speech he gave, remember that?

The tweet is beneath the Office of the Presidency.
To be precise, it USED to be beneath the office of the presidency. Nowadays anything goes. There is such a thing as “museum fatigue”, which just describes that the mind gets too tired and new information is not processed any more.

Trump is a “master” of demagoguery (one of the things that he “mastered”, the other was how to bring a casino into bankruptcy! - a CASINO!, and also able to say or do something almost every day which is even more outrageous and scary than the day before. There is no way to digest all the insanity of yesterday, because it is overridden by the new wave of today. If any president would have acted so below the required behavior of the office, he would have been summarily thrown out of office in no time flat. Because the expression of “high crimes and misdemeanors” is much broader than actual physical “crimes”, it includes improper behavior, too.

Being buddy-buddies with the most bloody-handed tyrants? Accepting the words of the enemies of the US over the best qualified American leaders, whom HE put into office? An ex-KGB agent’s word? Calling upon the help of Kremlin to help him elected? And later attempting to declare it a “joke”? If those “jokes” would be funny, he could be a world-class stand-up comic.

The impeachment process is interesting. The impeachment part would pass the House, but the removal part would fail in the Senate - for well-known reasons (look up the “spinal chord” of Lindsey Graham). But it would have an important “side” effect. If the impeachment process would merely start, all the necessary papers would have to be disclosed, no more secrecy, no more cover up.

And here comes the saddest part of all these conversations. No matter what criticism is brought up against Trump, the “defenders” are unable to present any actual defense, they only say: “but this did something similar, so Trump’s actions must be forgiven!”. This is the usual behavior of small children: "But Johnny did it, too!". Of course parents do not accept such an excuse. Why do you?
And that was his only job: indict or don’t indict.
Not true. It was to investigate, nothing more. The indictment was made impossible by the “rule”: “a sitting president cannot be indicted”. No matter, what. If he would be caught in the middle of a murder in the Oval Office on live television, he could just declare “executive privilege”, and that would be the end. Of course he could be indicted, but if he can fill up either the House or the Senate with his co-conspirators, then he will not be removed. Imagine a mafia boss’ trial where the jury is comprised of his consigliore and his lieutenants.
