And in Congress, sadly.
Congress is just doing a political calculation. If more evidence is shown that hurts Trump, they will lose independents and make their own re-election harder. What I can’t figure out is why Senators who aren’t up this year are that scared of Trump. If they did the right thing and removed him from office, two and a half years of the Fox propaganda machine will destroy Trump’s reputation to these Republicans and they won’t get hurt at all in elections in 2022 and 2024.

If you think that there is enough evidence to investigate the Bidens, then there are no standards.
Even without that, I guarantee you there is more than enough to investigate Trump/Bondi.
That’s laughable.

Those are facts. Presumalby however, you under the post hocv ergo propter hocv fallcy.
It is also a fact that the corrupt prosecutor effedstively scuttled the UK action against Burisma.
It is also a fact that the IMF, US allies, and the US wanted this prosecutor to go.
No not presumably. The facts also include the timelines. Let’s not forget:
  1. The letter sent to the US State Dept by Burisma lawyers in Feb 2016 asking to help persuade Ukraine to dismiss their case against the company and reminding them that the VPS son sat on the Board, sounds to me like a diplomatic shakedown.
  2. Also that same month (Feb 2016) is when Zlovesky’s home was raided,
  3. Then two weeks later the Latvian law enforcement sent an alert to Ukrainian prosecutors flagging several payments from Burisma to American accounts as “suspicious.” Those included payments to Hutner Biden and Devon Archer’s firm.
  4. Then also in Feb. 2016 there were a series of calls between Biden and the Ukraine President, and
  5. Also in Feb. 2016 Bursima American lobbyist invokes Hunter Bidens name to get a State Dept. meeting. And when the prosecutor is fired Burisma’s US lawyers sought to meet with his successor as chief prosecutor to settle the case (one of which remand open as per US Burisma lawyers themselves).
Some of what you put forward is questionable with no factual evidence.

"Shokin would not have been fired, said Daria Kaleniuk, co-founder and executive director of the Anti Corruption Action Centre in Kiev.
Ah, Soro’s organization…that was receiving over 60% of the State Department foreign aid monies budget allocated to Ukriane under Hillary Clinton. I’d look into that too.

f you say No and I say yes you may call that agreement, but I call it disagreement.
I do as well but that’s not the case here. You were quoted as saying presumably to my facts, I said No not presumably, and you agreed they were facts. I call that an agreement by you on the facts I laid out.

Much was written pro and con about John Bolton being called as a witness. The news just announced prior to the Senate hearing that the President has sent word to Bolton that he is not permitted to publish pertinent portions of his book that are under executive privilege and sworn to in writing by Bolton when he took that office. His publisher is barred from printing those portions of his book. The Senators are not yet aware of this, so there has been much mention of issuing subpoena to Bolton, but it is not going to happen.

Uh-oh!

There are laughable posts in this thread, but mine isn’t one of them.

Ah, the fake “Soros” argument that every organization is secretly controlled by the liberal, atheist views of George Soros.
The true one.
Are the 83% of Americans that want witnesses the ‘true’ America or the 17% of Americans that don’t want witnesses?

Fear!!! Bolton gets to sell a book Trump banned out of fear of what’s in it.
Truth is Bolton is many things, but after 6 books, there is likely nothing privileged, and a ban is not legal.

Soros is a fictional character based on the real character Goldstein from ORWELL’S 1984.

Hardly appropriate. And certainly inappropriate to say McConnell is not a “true American”.

The Russian “partner” in the deal was sanctioned due to the Mueller investigation that turned up nothing. It agreed to provide financing for an aluminum rolling plant in a seriously depressed part of Kentucky. McConnell got the sanctions lifted so the aluminum plant could employ the Kentuckians. That’s what people like McConnell are supposed to do.

Hunter Biden flies on Air Force Two to China and comes back with 1.5 billion in Chinese capital notwithstanding that he knows nothing about investment banking, and makes 20 million as a consequence, and you’re okay with that, but don’t think the unemployed Kentuckians should have jobs?
