My response was that if Trump were truly interested in getting a publicity BOOST he wouldn’t have asked Zelensky to go on CNN because their viewership is even below that of the Hallmark Channel.
A strategic assumption on your part. I think Trump is a better strategist than you are willing to admit.

ROFL, he wouldn’t need this method to get the word out, far too complicated.

He would just tweet it himself, that he was going to investigate (true or not) and get far more coverage.

I’ll admit Trump is a better strategist than I am willing to admit, if you admit Schiff and Pelosi are absolutely hopeless strategists. 😬

The documents released to the center consisted of about 300 pages of emails between the Office of Management and Budget and the Pentagon about the Ukraine aid package. While the officially released version was heavily redacted — and the center is contesting the censorship in further litigation — the visible portions showed, among other things, that Pentagon officials had worried that holding the funds could be an illegal impoundment.

Trump’s tweets have become so ubiquitous that they have lost all credibility except with his core supporters, who hang on his every covfefe.

Bolton wants to testify and his spokesman said his testimony will devestate Trump.

Bolton himself does not say the same thing. Actually Bolton’s statement speaks to the House’s actions in this impeachment case.
During the present impeachment controversy, I have tried to meet my obligations both as a citizen and as former National Security Advisor. My colleague, Dr. Charles Kupperman, faced with a House committee subpoena on the one hand, and a Presidential directive not to testify on the other, sought final resolution of this Constitutional conflict from the Federal judiciary. After my counsel informed the House committee that I too would seek judicial resolution of these Constitutional issues, the committee chose not to subpoena me. Nevertheless, I publicly resolved to be guided by the outcome of Dr. Kupperman’s case.

But both the President and the House of Representatives opposed his effort on jurisdictional grounds, and each other on the merits. The House committee went so far as to withdraw its subpoena to Dr. Kupperman in a deliberate attempt to moot the case and deprive the court of jurisdiction. Judge Richard Leon, in a carefully reasoned opinion on December 30, held Dr. Kupperman’s case to be moot, and therefore did not reach the separation-of-powers issues.

The House has concluded its Constitutional responsibility by adopting Articles of Impeachment related to the Ukraine matter. It now falls to the Senate to fulfill its Constitutional obligation to try impeachments, and it does not appear possible that a final judicial resolution of the still-unanswered Constitutional questions can be obtained before the Senate acts.

Accordingly, since my testimony is once again at issue, I have had to resolve the serious competing issues as best I could, based on careful consideration and study. I have concluded that, if the Senate issues a subpoena for my testimony, I am prepared to testify.

No where in there does he claim his testimony will devastate Trump

I didn’t say it was in his statement. Someone else confirmed it.
CONSISTENT WITH DRUG DEAL.

Someone else confirmed it.
Please cite a source of who confirmed it. Otherwise it’s nothing more than a typical CNN fake news headline.

This whole “drug deal” thing is comical. To many people weren’t buying the kool aid the leftist media was selling so they had to add the words “drug deal” to it so the folks who don’t even know where Ukraine is can start to believe President Trump did something bad. There is no end to how low the leftist media will go.

DISCLAIMER TO MODS - I did not direct this post toward any one person, with exception of the very first sentence, participating on this thread.

This is John Bolton’s characterization

On testifying he said this:
“The House has concluded its constitutional responsibility by adopting Articles of Impeachment related to the Ukraine matter. It now falls to the Senate to fulfill its constitutional obligation to try impeachments, and it does not appear possible that a final judicial resolution of the still-unanswered Constitutional questions can be obtained before the Senate acts,” Bolton said in his statement. “Accordingly, since my testimony is once again at issue, I have had to resolve the serious competing issues as best I could, based on careful consideration and study.”
Seems like Speaker Pelosi was wise to move forward with the impeachment rather than letting the matter of testimony drag out in the courts.

And certainly not, by serving on the board of some foreign obscure company in Ukraine.
Yes, it’s such an obscure foreign country no news media would even need to mention it… it’s such a little thing. Over $50,000 for contributing the name of the point man on Ukraine… talk to the hand…

This may be old news, but me thinks there are new facts coming out… Let’s just wait a little longer and see what develops…

[sarcasm]
Nope, Can’t have the courts step in and make the Dems do it legally.
[/sarcasm]

And apparently wise to hold the important impeachment for possible more bad behavior from Donald Trump so they can add that to the bottom of the articles… Let’s just see if there is anything else to claim he is going to break a law… he’s bound to… (more sarcasm)

oops, hiding head in sand???
investigations are on-going with criminal implications… even with foreign allies…

True…let’s hold him accountable for every word he utters, every action he takes and ignore all the illegal activities going on around him and his campaign/administration. Let’s investigate him for three years hoping to find a crime. That way we can keep our blinders on and not notice our country is falling by the wayside…

She’s “moving forward” with impeachment???

Quick! Call The Hill!

I am getting the impression that her tenuous Catholic upbringing is coming through and she’s assigned impeachment to Limbo for eternity.
