Presidents have traditionally cooperated with Congressional investigations. Trump has chosen not to and hence the charge of Contempt of Congress. It doesn’t particularly matter because it was clearly an extortion attempt on the call and all of his people knew it, hence the attempt to cover it up.

Nah, what you are seeing is the opposition party finally forced to have to act on a corrupt Presidential administration even though they know it likely will fail in the Senate because the entire Republican party will chose party over country.
Nope, Trump has betrayed the public trust by holding up money earmarked for Ukraine because he wanted them to announce an investigation of his political enemy. He did that. The Democrats didn’t do that; Trump did. The divisiveness you see is between people that hold that no one is above the law like the Founding Fathers and people who excuse any because they like having power. It’s a shame, but civics education isn’t what it used to be in this country.
