That depends upon who is right. I think his seat is safe. If I am wrong, then his character is greater.
Self serving is a totally different issue.
He has a great legal mind and belongs on the bench. But this won’t help him there. He will cause longstanding trouble for the GOP SENATORS.

Did you ask the same question when the House rejected the Republicans’ calls to call their own witnesses to present a “fair” case? Or is your outrage only one-sided?

What scholarly papers or books has he written on the meaning of "high crimes and misdemeanors?
He is Trump’;s defense lawyer, making an argument, just as hi did for OJ, von Bulow, Epstein and the others he defended. If you want ot appeal to authority, find some scholarly work on the subject byh people who do not have ulterior interests.

As se ms to be the road Dems like to take. They have manage to diminish the meaning of rape,the Holocost,racism,etc,with their perpetual outrage.This impeachment is no different.
 
I’d feel better if Schiff was honest and stopped doing things like making up “call transcripts” to suit his purpose.

The GOP intends to hide the key witnesses and documents from the American people.
At the same time they included a provision that Trump can select a sheet of what is being withheld, and provide it out of context at any time in the trial.
The manifest unfairness to truth effectively ends impeachment.
I am happy Pelosi chose to pass the Articles on rather than just bury them.
It places the disgrace on the GOP. BUT IT WOULDN’T HAVE MATTERED if she burried them with no trial. Because in either case there will be no trial.
Making an opening and deciding afterwards if even the house record will be admitted, is KAFKAESQUE.
TRY arguing with no evidence?
McConnell makes a good case out that we are an undeserving people of self government and freedom.
You design a trial to hide the truth! Shame!

We had another thread on this last week (?), where Dr. Drew was thinking of running against him because he was ignoring the actual problems facing CALI. I know it’s a risky prediction, but there is now plenty of ammo another Dem can use against Schiff.

Schiff will be tarred with the failed impeachment, which works against him even if you hate Trump.

Schiff questions Trump.
In 2020 that warrants he be visited by the actual plagues of Egypt. For starters.
I have to laugh at the voiced desires to see him punished for doing his job.

Pharaoh was far less stubborn than Democrats. At least he threw in the towel after a few weeks whereas Dems are 3 years and counting

I have no idea. You might be right. I think he is a rockstar-level lawyer and is doing extremely well against the less-than-truthful Presidential team.
