Because the person I’m responding to isn’t denying that Palestinians have done it; they’re denying that Israel is doing it.
I didn’t take that away from his post, just that you were ignoring similar evidence for Palestinian Arab atrocities:
There are an equal number of Palinistian atrocities listed including torture, murder and human shield use.

You cherry picked…as usual.

Uh, no it’s not. The specific section includes a few paragraphs. Read it.

You gave me 11 links. Which “specific” link with a “few paragraphs” is it?
Because we’re talking about what Israel does in the Occupied Territories. You should also read on to see that insitutionalized racism is one of those problems.

The only thing that the State Department says about Israel and racism is “The Basic Law prohibits the candidacy of any party or individual denying the existence of the State of Israel as the state of the Jewish people or the democratic character of the state, or that incites racism. Otherwise, political parties operated without restriction or outside interference.”

Don’t try to change the subject. The subject is Israel’s use of Palestinian civilians as human shields. We can move on to conditions within Israel after you acknowledge and condemn their use of Palestinian civlians as human shields.

Actually, what it says is:

“Institutional, legal, and societal discrimination against Arab citizens, Palestinian Arabs, non-Orthodox Jews, and other religious groups continued, as did societal discrimination against persons with disabilities.”

And just so there isn’t anymore…confusion…you can read it for yourself at the top of the page in paragraph 2.

And the US has been also been accused of the same thing in regards to minorities and women. “Discrimination” is a long way from torture, as you accuse the Israelis.

When did I say anything about torture? Specific examples are provided of Israel’s institutionalized racism. Do you condemn it? Have you looked at the Occupied Territories under Arbitrary Interference with Privacy, Family, Home, or Correspondence yet?

I can’t find it and you refuse to give me the link…
I’ve provided you with all 11 links and you can’t find the section under Occupied Territories titled Arbitrary Interference with Privacy, Family, Home, or Correspondence? It seems that you’re the only one having trouble finding it.

I’m getting blue in the face - giving me 11 links does not give me a specific link to anything. Why won’t you give me the link? The only thing I can conclude is it doesn’t exist. And unless and until you give me the link, that is my conclusion.

How many times do I have to provide you with those 11 links? What do you mean you don’t know that specific section is? Stop making excuses and read that section in those reports. You are the only one who has had any difficulty in finding it.*

And as I said, those 11 links provide me with dozens and dozens of pages and not one of them says anywhere on it: “Occupied Territories titled Arbitrary Interference with Privacy, Family, Home, or Correspondence” I even did a search on the State website and can’t find it. I can’t read a section that I can’t find.

You are stonewalling.

You are stonewalling.
No, you are the one who is stonewalling. No one else has had any trouble finding it. Pick a report at random and I will, once again, provide the specific quote and section.

Nothing like using biased source (Palestine Chronicle?). This is what the 2009 report the State Department says:

"The law, High Court rulings, and an IDF order prohibit Israeli forces from using “human shields,” but the prohibition reportedly was not always observed. When complaints are registered, according to the MOJ, the Investigative Military Police (IMP) open investigations.

According to Amnesty International, Israeli soldiers used civilians, including children, as human shields, endangering their lives by forcing them to remain in or near houses which they took over and used as military positions. Amnesty International also reported that some were forced to carry out dangerous tasks such as inspecting properties. At year’s end the IDF was investigating alleged use of human shields, including in Jabaliya and Beit Lahiya.

According to Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs July report, Hamas used human shields by hiding behind civilian facilities and endangering civilians, including women and children by using them to protect military sites from IDF attack.

In 2008 one human shield complaint against the IDF was submitted; an investigation followed. There was no information concerning any disciplinary action taken. After a 2007 complaint about use of a human shield caught on television, there was no information on what punishment the IDF personnel received. "

If the Israelis did use human shields, and I am not saying they did not, they are breaking the law of their own country. But that does not make it official policy, as it is official policy with Hamas. That is a big difference.

If Israel did use human shield, then yes, of course I condemn it. Do you condemn Hamas for using human shields, actually building their bunkers underneath hospitals?

I’m still waiting for the other links.

f. Arbitrary Interference with Privacy, Family, Home, or Correspondence
Thank you. Again, we are talking about Amnesty International making the accusations:

“According to Amnesty International, Israeli soldiers used civilians, including children, as human shields, endangering their lives by forcing them to remain in or near houses which they took over and used as military positions. Amnesty International also reported that some were forced to carry out dangerous tasks such as inspecting properties. At year’s end the IDF was investigating alleged use of human shields, including in Jabaliya and Beit Lahiya.”

And if you notice, there is no hard proof, and Israel is investigating it. When was the last time Hamas investigated its use of human shields?

As opposed to Foxnews? Fair and Balanced? Every source is biased if its not to your liking.
