You are ignoring facts. Most Americans are pro-choice.

Denial isn’t going to help our cause. At all.

most americans are pro life

w have about 4 or 5 blue states (pro-abortion)

we have 46 red stares (pro-life)

\get it?

There are so many things wrong with this reply but I’m not sure where to start. But first I will tell you that a person’s political affiliation doesn’t always correlate with whether or not they are pro life. Secondly, the electora college decides whether or not the state is turned blue or red. You need to look at the popular vote if you believe that that actually has anything to do with pro life numbers, which it doesn’t.

your response makes no sense; i am not posting about presidential elections in USA & the “electroral college”

i am saying :if an an actual "national referendum "were to be held in USA about abortion;

it would be a landslide in favor of pro-life

unlike what happened in the former republic of ireland

In the USA referendums allow citizens of many U.S. states to place new legislation on a popular ballot, or to place legislation that has recently been passed by a legislature on a ballot for a popular vote.

you are 100% correct

USA we don’t have “national referendums”

which frankly are a little bit absurd

we leave these issues to the “states” which are overwhelmingly pro-life

then the federal judiciary steps in and over-rules the will of the people

Again, you are ignoring data and facts. Most Americans are not pro life.

And it’s ignorance like yours that actually does great damage to our pro life movement. You believe that if a referendum similar to what happened in Ireland happened in the USA today, that the NO vote would win, but you’re wrong. We need to learn how to change voters minds and hearts and by doing that we need to acknowledge where we truly stand in the battle. We will not make any progress with our heads in the sand

Just going to copy/paste @brian_custer ‘s actual reply to me in case it disappears because it’s too good.
jackass; i don’t consider myself ignorant i got a cullege degrea from moor than 2 catholic unvrschholls

most Americans are PRO LIFE

it did disappear; the mods are awake tonight (for a change)

we are on the same team, shipmate

Then aren’t you people weak as well since you let them overrule your decisions? If the state is so pro life as you claim then why do they take it lying down? Let’s not get too nationalistic here and accept the enemy has engulfed his reach almost over the entire world. Christians need to work together

I’m not sure what is worse in that comment: the insult or the spelling. Thanks for quoting.

The people you are calling dumb are the very people that help spread Catholicism to Anglo anti catholic nations such as the US and the UK. The nation the Church seen as the land of the saints and scholars who give the world some of the greatest literature, poetry, music, Saints etc. You are speaking about us Irish in the same manner as a bitter hate filled Brit who despises Catholicism. I dont care what your states say, your nation endorses and practices abortion and has exterminated millions for many years now

OLD NEWS; WHERE WERE THEY ON FRIDAY? OTHER THAN THROWING EGgS AT YOUNG AMERICANS ATTEMPTING TO PROMOTE THE PRO-LIFE CAUSE

IRELAND IS A DISGRACE

AND I FEEL I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO SAY THAT…

somehow you dumb micks
You know, I really don’t think it is OK to name-call on this forum. You really shouldn’t be doing that, and then implying you do so out of love. It is insulting. Could you please not do that?

Irelands decision is a disgrace yes but your somehow using your nation as an example for moral superiority whenever it has been involved in exterminating millions of the unborn for years. If the states truly are pro life by majority then your government refuses to respect the wishes of it’s people and walks over them without consequence.

He’s being irrational and letting his emotions get the better of him. He will get over it and hopefully realise he’s being uncharitable.

i am not excusing the abortion culture in USA

all i am saying is that 5 of 9 supreme court justices said abortion was legal in 1973

the issue has never been put up to a “national referendum” in USA
had it been left to states to decide; i suspect in 40 states or more of the USA abortion would be illegal
