Those can reach the lower branches make nests there.
Darwin’s evolution doesn’t happen overnight. The birds would first have to evolve enough to know how to make a nest. By that time, the eggs, hatchlings and the chicks would be devoured by the dogs before the birds could get off the ground.Nature’s survival strategies have to work from the gitgo there is no time for random mutations to figure it all out.

Humani Generis - Pope Pius XII

“37. When, however, there is question of another conjectural opinion, namely polygenism, the children of the Church by no means enjoy such liberty. For the faithful cannot embrace that opinion which maintains that either after Adam there existed on this earth true men who did not take their origin through natural generation from him as from the first parent of all, or that Adam represents a certain number of first parents. Now it is in no way apparent how such an opinion can be reconciled with that which the sources of revealed truth and the documents of the Teaching Authority of the Church propose with regard to original sin, which proceeds from a sin actually committed by an individual Adam and which, through generation, is passed on to all and is in everyone as his own.[12]”

Nature acts according to its nature. That is God’s intention. I don’t no what you mean by guided.

The interplay between the environment, predators and natural abilities have to be integrated from the start. How do bees know what a flower is? How do they know how to build a honeycomb? Why is honey edible by humans?

They are the counterparts of the ovaries. If the testes did not move to outside the body, ovaries would have to migrate inside. The process is a lot more complex than you describe here. It sounds perfect to me. Random to you? Really? OK, then.
Why would a perfect design need to have the ovaries and testes have a common morphology? Why couldn’t testes start out outside and ovaries start out inside? It seems simpler than having a common organ that has to decide at the last minute what to become.

Why would all this have to integrated from the start? Just because we cannot imagine a pathway composed of small steps does not mean such a pathway does not exist. And why is honey edible? Because honey is composed of molecules with lots of nutritional energy and no poisonous effects. Why shouldn’t it be edible? Most living things are edible.

Speciation doesn’t happen overnight. But changes within a species can be quite dramatic. As per the elephants.

But anyway, some chooks made nests on the ground. Some in fallen branches on the ground. The ones that could reach lower branches made them there. It makes sense to make a nest where you live. It didn’t make any difference before the dogs arrived, but now it does.

Chooks who are able to reach lower branches already made their nests there and the ones that couldn’t survived equally as well…until there was a change in the environment.

Now we have the ‘arms race’. And that will continue until there is another change in the environment.

Reasonable?

That is talking about human parents, animals are not included in that definition. Adam and Eve could have had animal parents but not human parents, neither Genesis or Doctrine rules that out as far as I see.

They want to cherry pick certain thing from God’s perfect Nature world that they see going on now, to try and extrapolate that into their theories.

It didn’t make any difference before the dogs arrived, but now it does.
You are moving the goalpost and confusing me and I thought birds came from dinosaurs from the start anyway .

Most living things are not edible. We can’t digest cellulose in wood but termites can.

It certainly does. Animals do not produce human babies. Chimps are animals and stronger than humans by size and weight.

Have you seen the humanoids that existed tens of thousands of years ago? They were practically human minus the soul. According to scientific theory they were very very close to what we are now. It’s not like chimpanzees.

Because there has to be a hierarchy in the animal kingdom. The big, eat the small for a ecosystem to be supported … everything is interconnected.
Everything is interconnected, but those interconnections are not static. They are always in a state of flux. And this still does not prove that all the functions you mentioned had to come into existence all at once.

Forget dinosaurs. And no-one is moving any goalposts. We’ve just gor some chickens on an island. They make their nest on the ground, on dead braches on the ground and on low level branches. It makes no difference because there are no predators to worry about.

When the dogs arrive, the chooks that can reach the low level branches last longer than those that can"t. So there is a genetic tendency for the ability to reach low level brancbes to increase. Because those that can’t are taken out of the gene pool.

And then we have the arms race.

Reasonable? I have to say that there is nothing I have said that amounts to any kind of evolution, yet alone macro evolution, and nothing that denies the existence of God. This is all quite straight forward and happens in nature constantly.

Agreed?

The only alternative is from the bottom up, but that can’t work because their was no food for the bottom to eat.

I don’t know what you are getting at. They have a common origin, definitely not morphology. The organ doesn’t decide anything. It develops according to the interplay of matter under the direction of information stored in the folds of very, very complex molecules. Matter is the “code” that is processed in the “computer” that is the spirit.

That is the way things are. It all works pretty well until we get sick. And sickness and death entered the world with original sin.

I’m not a fan of the design paradigm, but it makes a lot of sense to me. Much more than vague ideas about random natural internal and external determinants leading to our being here having this discussion.
