I’ve casually listened to various of their YouTube videos, including of this Fr Isaac Mary Relyea. I wasn’t really sure about them, but noted they were more traditional.

But I noticed on their website, just a few days back, they put out an article called “the SSPX is in communion with Rome”, written by Kennedy Hall. I’m familiar with him as he came on one of Taylor Marshall’s Youtube shows.

So is this Fatima center connected with the SSPX? or are they in communion w/ Rome?

The Fatima Center, with website at fatima. org, is the organization run by the late Fr. Nicholas Gruner.
He was controversial during his life and was suspended from the priesthood.
The Diocese of Brooklyn warned Catholics against having anything to do with him.
In the early 2000s, there were lawsuits against him and his associates in Portugal for misrepresenting what Sister Lucia said.

I would avoid anything the Fatima Center is pushing as being highly suspect.

so since Kennedy Hall wrote for them, and the fact that he appeared on Taylor Marshall’s show… I guess then Taylor Marshall is going the SSPX route?

I have no idea what Taylor Marshall is doing or why. I wrote him off long ago. He says many things I find extreme or bizarre.

If he is now pushing Fr. Gruner’s ideas, then that’s just another nail in his coffin of being way out in left field, as far as I am concerned.

I really enjoyed his book The Crucified Rabbi, read a few years ago. didn’t realize he was gonna go the SSPX route tho.

It seems a lot of these guys from all over the place like Marshall, Madrid, even Fr Martin start out with some nice, fairly neutral works and then get more extreme in one direction or another as they go.
If they were politicians I’d say they seemed to be radicalized as they went on.
As it is, I always wonder if they genuinely change direction as they go, or if their early neutral writings are just meant to build a base before they whip out the big guns of whatever controversy was always on their mind.
Or does the adulation they receive somehow drive them in one direction or another.

I guess I will never know, but if the book you mention is good, just take it for what it is.

Yes, his first book was about the saints. I have a copy. After that he started writing about gays.
what about Jesse Romero? and Fr Ripperger?
I hope Fr Ripperger still is a valid priest under his diocese. last I checked he’s still in the Archdiocese of Denver.

IDK anything about their writings.
I’m sure Fr Ripperger is still a valid priest. Fr. Heilman had him up to Madison diocese and Bishop Hying is a straight arrow and wouldn’t be permitting an invalid priest to be running loose.

Yup, he’s in the Archdiocese of Denver. Just saw him in their website.

I would be careful about drawing conclusions. The Fatima Center itself is totally outside the boundaries of the Church. The fact that someone writes an article for them seems very imprudent, and the fact that Dr. Marshall also has Hall write for Marshall possibly imprudent, but they hopefully are not yet in the same category as the Fatima Centre.

Maybe I’m over optimistic but I see distinctives between those clearly over the hill, and those foolishly wandering too far.

Fr Ripperger, F.S.S.P, is still the exorcist for the Archdiocese of Denver.

It appears that Fr. Gruner died in 2015.

Why not ask your priest if the Fatima Center is trustworthy?

They still seem more trustworthy than random folks on the web.

I posted a source to back up what I said. It’s also hardly anything new, we’ve had many threads on Fatima Center.
If you would like to make a counterargument, feel free to post your own sources.

Also, I see you joined July 7, so I’m not sure how you have managed in that short time to evaluate the reliability of the forum.

I don’t think I did. But I have been on the web for decades and it’s a pretty fair generalization to say that lots of disinformation gets shared. What does my join date have to do with it?
