Of course. “Outside the Catholic Church Is No Salvation” (Extra Ecclesia Nulla Salus) is a defined dogma of faith required for every Catholic to believe. Catholics who deny this dogma, or make it into a “meaningless formula” (as Pope Pius XII said) are in error, heretics. It is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every man to be a member of the Apostolic Roman Catholic Church, in submission to the successor of St. Peter, the Pope. I am appalled by the lack of orthodoxy on the part of so-called Catholics in this thread. And there is no “second chance” in purgatory for a non-Catholic to become a Catholic–purgatory is for those who are already saved and awaiting heaven, and thus only those who die in the bosom of the Catholic Church will go there. It is appointed for man to die once, and after this, judgment. I repeat–Outside the Catholic Church is NO SALVATION–period!!
