I see some Catholics that keep repeating the term,” There’s no salvation outside the Catholics church.”

But I was very skeptical about it. As each day of my life goes on, I was wondering if Catholics and Protestants can work on other problems instead of fighting each other. Because they both do believe in Jesus Christ.

It really upsets me when Catholic’s preach down to others.

I have spoken to God about such things and he simply told me this…

Anyone who does wonders in my Holy name is not against me but with me.

@englands123

Not sure what you’re saying here. Please give us at least a couple of examples of what you mean “when Catholic’s [sic] preach down to others.”

I was aiming no personal judgement on anyone. Just the fact the OP has been mislead to believe there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church.

Whoever has been preaching this is wrong. The door is open to all who come to server the Lord.

We’ve done this topic to death on this forum. The answer is that basically if you are non Catholic, you might be able to get to heaven depending on a number of different factors such as invincible ignorance, culpability etc.

For example the Orthodox have 7 sacraments so for many of them it isn’t much harder to get to heaven than a Catholic but for an atheist it is very hard.

From the Baltimore Catechism;

Q. 510. Is it ever possible for one to be saved who does not know the Catholic Church to be the true Church?

A. It is possible for one to be saved who does not know the Catholic Church to be the true Church, provided that person:

1.(1) Has been validly baptized;

2.(2) Firmly believes the religion he professes and practices to be the true religion, and

3.(3) Dies without the guilt of mortal sin on his soul.

Q. 511. Why do we say it is only possible for a person to be saved who does not know the CatholicChurch to be the true Church?

A. We say it is only possible for a person to be saved who does not know the Catholic Church to be the true Church, because the necessary conditions are not often found, especially that of dying in a state of grace without making use of the Sacrament of Penance.

Do you think there is/will be factional, denominational divisions among the saved in eternity?

If so, why?

If not, what would you call that?

The Queen and the Archbishop of Canterbury do not attend a Catholic Church or follow all the Catholic Church teaching.

So neither will be saved ?
Ludicrous

That’s not for me to say, but they do themselves no favors by not being Catholic. What’s ludicrous is thinking that one can be opposed to Truth Himself and another can be part of His Church and both have an equal playing field.

How can we say we love Jesus when we can’t even agree on who He is? How can we say it’s all good when one person believes the Pope is the Anti-Christ and another believes he’s the head of the Church?

It is Church doctrine that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church. It’s just a pity you have not taken the time to research what that actually means. When you have done that then come back and discuss it.

As you seem to have much wisdom please share my friend what is considered outside the Catholic Church ?

Jesus was very clear ,

And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

— [Matthew 22:35-40]

Jesus was very clear ,
So what, the Church is lying? The Church Jesus promised to protect from error is lying? Is that where you want to go? Or is loving Jesus but opposing His Church, His Bride, love?

When Jesus said that the gate was narrow, was He lying? When He prayed for all to be one, was He lying? When Jesus told Peter and only Peter that He would establish His Church and give Peter the keys to it, was He lying?

What does it mean to “love God”? What does it mean to “love your neighbor”? Is holding lies on the same level of truth love?

Is there anyone on the forum who can explain , exactly what is outside the salvation of God?

So someone who loves God and lives an upright life and prays regularly.

But is neither baptised or attends Church will not be entering in to Heaven ?

If that is the case then I have learned something today and apologise.

Did you read anything of what people here had to say about it? Or the link I gave you to an article published by this very site?

What does it mean to “love God” but ignore His Church?
