well I feel since america held on to alot of puritanical aspects until recent times that breasts were veiwed as sinful somehow thus american men and men from the americas are more apt to stare and make remarks whenever a woman exposes her breasts and it depend on the situation
if its a nursing mother and your not looking at her with lust no its not sinful since you are admiring a woman nuturing her child
Ladies sunbathing topless if you are at a topless beach then it falls into gray area and goes by how your feeling about it personally
anything else I dont think I could find a situation where a normal woman would have her breasts exposed
anything else such as mardi gras or drunken girls showing off in bars is sinful since its being done for a sinful purpose }

but my opinion only
Holy Lack-of-punctuation Batman!

stillsosola,

Why would ANY of it be sinful? womens breast have NO sexual function, there is literally no difference in baring a mans chest, a womens chest is just different in shape, thats it…nothing sexual or sinful about it.

As immoral as the US is today, it is almost comical that they consider a womens chest to be something that must be kept hidden and not shown on tv or anywhere LOL

If we look back thru history, we can see the female chest was considered a thing of beauty and to be appreciated, so it is quite funny in our modern world in 2013, our society has come to see the female chest as dirty or something to be kept hidden, no parent wants their kids to see it…??? LOL

This is almost nonsensical!! Mens chests are openly accepted, females chests are just different, so how does that make it dirty or wrong?

I think our ancient cousins had it right and just proves our modern society is so degraded and pathetic, we cannot even see Gods handiwork anymore. This is pretty much just the US though, thankfully most other nations do not consider the female chest or any other part of the body to be dirty or something to keep hidden.

Maybe this is because the US hates anything to do with God and does not like their kids to see any of the beauty he has created, so they tell their kids it is dirty and they should not be looking at them…thats a good way to steer a kid away from God!
So what do you suggest parents do about it? Take their kids to nudist colonies and log them on to pornographic websites to show them God’s handiwork? What’s your solution?

Okay, show me where…in the Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, or the words of the saints that we should go around naked or semi naked.

Spoken like someone trying to justify something they know they cannot justify.

rotcguy are you still with us?! … do you have any further questions?
OP’s last login was 9 minutes after he started this thread. He never even saw post #2, much less then next 140+.

IMO, this is an argument for not letting new accounts start threads (it would cut out spammers and these folks).

Well, the OP just may not have the “Remember me” setting turned on. So what may have happened is that the OP received an e-mail saying that there are responses to his or her subscribed thread, and clicked on the direct link that’s provided in the e-mail, which would then take the OP to this thread w/out being logged in. So it is very possible (especially with newer members that don’t know about that “Remember me” setting) that the OP already read thru the majority of what’s written here, but may be a little shy to make any responses. 🙂

Hmmm, good point. That’s possible. I kind of doubt it, but it is possible.

There is a definite line between the female body and porn.

I think to make sure a child understands that a male/female body is not dirty in anyway, and should be appreciated for its beauty…ALL parts of the body. I think its wrong for parents to tell their kids its dirty or something they should not be looking at.

But that child also needs to understand porn IS wrong, so watching 2 people engaging in sexual intercourse would be dirty, as its no ones business but the 2 people involved and should not be done in front of an audience, but to simply look at and appreciate a male or female body is definitely OK and a child should not be told otherwise. usually boys starting noticing the female body around the age of 11-13, but it is almost engrained in them that it is somehow wrong and dirty…this is the result of people trying to say Gods work is dirty and should not be viewed…my opinion anyway

What you describe is rightfully the sexual relationship between a husband and wife.

Any other context is wrong.

And as long as the parents are making clear the context, we should not have problems.

Can someone please explain to me why a woman would want to let a bunch of strangers see her topless?

God Bless
Well, in the movie world, some actresses say “For art” or “for the story.”

It’s the individual who makes it perverted or not. Toplessness doesn’t mean anything.
