No, Obama was right.

No way should our soldiers be placed under an Iraqi law system.

Jim

Obama has been a failure from start to finish. IF he was even remotely anything close to what he was advertised as (intelligent, charismatic, eloquent, young, a success story for the minority, honest) as POTUS the Iraqi president wouldn’t even think of being able to pull off placing our military under their newly invented legal system! To use that bogus piece of political manure is beyond “Gruber stupid”.

The ISIS Islamic Terrorists are Supported by the US, Israel and Saudi Arabia

I am sorry to hear that the US, Israel and Saudi Arabia are now supporting the ISIS terrorists.
I can understand negotiating with them in order to achieve peace in the area, but I would not recommend supporting ISIS because IMHO that will further destabilize the situation in the area.

Obama needs to resign.
Obama is the president chosen by the American people. A few extremists may be calling for Mr. Obama to resign, but I don’t see any movement among the overwhelming majority of Americans for him to do so.

Actually, I think the poster, Jim OCDS, has a good point about the negotiations, here is more:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S.%E2%80%93Iraq_Status_of_Forces_Agreement

Basically though, Iran, Syria, the Shiite Government not coming to a quick negotiated settlement can be where we lay the blame but aren’t we playing a blame game. I would not want to wrongly fault President Obama.

Let’s remember though, the Administration encouraged the Arab Spring in that region. Thus, the people there may have been wary of foreign involvement.
…This time the U.S. asked Iraq to take a stand on the question of immunity for troops, hoping to remove what had always been the biggest challenge. However, they misread Iraqi politics and the Iraqi public. Having watched the Arab Spring sweep across the region and still haunted by the traumas of this and previous wars, the Iraqis were unwilling to accept anything that infringed on their sovereignty.[71]
Iraqi leadership picked up on that sentiment quickly. As a result, they publicly said they would not support legal immunity for any American troops. Some American officials have privately said that pushing for that meeting — in essence forcing the Iraqis to take a public stand on such a controversial matter before working out the politics of presenting it to their constituents and to Parliament — was a severe tactical mistake that ended any possibility of keeping American troops past December 2011.[72]
An article was posted the other day that said Iran and Syria let terrorists out of the prisons to go fight in Iraq. Look for the blame with these countries, not the USA.

Just checking…your news source is not reliable as it is a blog! 😦

Al Quaeda forces, which included many of the present ISIS forces, were in training for decades, including by the U.S. in Afghanistan…
Still more claims that the US has been supporting and training forces for ISIS. I don’t see why Americans want to support ISIS, since it is an extremist group.

Global Research, how about Info Wars.com next time??

I’d go with experts like Spencer, Geller in cluing us in over what is going on over there.

Then why did the US just kill one ISIS commander and before that, severely injure Baghdadi if we are helping ISIS??

Disapproval rate for Obama close to 55%!!
The disapproval rate for Bush in October 2008 was 75% and Nixon’s disapproval rate was about the same toward the end of his presidency. Obama has a much higher approval rate than either Bush or Nixon near the end of their presidency.

I’d blame the press for Nixon’s disapproval. In my opinion, some of the things that this White House has done is worse than anything Nixon did such as the IRS scandal, spying on Americans.

Good question. It seems like what President Eisenhower said about the military industrial complex is truer now than it has ever been. With the US supporting both sides, it is only the weapons industry and the military industrial complex that has to gain. IMHO, it is better to choose one side or the other. When you support both sides, you are only creating chaos and misery for the civilian population in the area.

There is no proof we have played both sides, we joined the action against ISIS with airpower and there should be much more.

Wrong again! You have to stay away from blogs!

No way should Christians and anyone else be murdered because Obama wanted to be the anti-Bush. Obama was wrong.

I will accept the words of the good General Austin.
No way Bush should’ve created the predicted quagmire he did.

The US could not keep forces there for ever.

Jim

Did Bush encourage the Arab Spring?? He hasn’t been president since 2009. He didn’t create a quagmire.

How long have we been in Korea and Germany and Japan??

The Jihadis are a long term threat which everyone knows is so.

Why isn’t Obama withdrawing all troops from Afghanistan? Looks like your same argument is there. And we know now, it would be dangerous just to yank all troops out of Afghanistan.

Bush and Cheney invaded under false pretenses according to many sources. They did not research the area and were lacking knowledge about the unintended consequences of the invasion. Shiites were put in power and the Sunnis were dissatisfied. The American invasion of Iraq served as a catalyst for the Sunni extremists to organize and attempt to form an extremist caliphate.

But the Russian sponsored Syrian government was committing genocide against the Sunnis, can’t blame the US for that.

WMDs were found in Iraq, that’s the truth, it’s been addressed plenty of times already.
