jakasaki, please remember that there are some Hadith about the donkey of Jesus and the donkey of Dajjal (The anti-Christ)… Also some famous relation of Jesus with the donkey in bible. We have some reading in the bibleNT where Jesus entered Jerusalem riding a donkey. Perhaps riding two donkeys at once. His mother was with him.

There is a famous saying in Persian " Even If the donkey of Jesus went to Makkah, when it will return, it will still be a Donkey (meaning ignorant person)."

I hope the animal that Muhamamd rode to heavens was far better than the donkey of Jesus. But it should be remembered that journey was spiritual only. Do not have too many bad (literal) ideas about it.

I would like to add this.

In my Church out here in Eastern NY, we have pews and those things you pull out to kneel.

I can tell you that my ailing mom who is old and in sickness, cannot use those “kneel” things anymore.

I took her to Church as few weeks back when she first came out of the hospital to attend a family funeral, and she could not kneel during Mass.

She leaned on the pew backing, with her head down and this woman stayed there until it was time to rise.

I’ll tell you this, she put the young people to shame because **they **could not stand still.

There is no harmif mom of jakasaki cannot kneel due to old age. Please remember that there is a knneling and prosteration of the body as well as the soul. If due to old age, body is not able to kneel, the soul always can do, as it was described by jakasaki. So I am sure the kneeling of mom is fully accepted by God.

God does not put more burden on anybody or soul beyond what they can endure.

'A’isha reported that Harith b. Hisham asked Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him): **How does the the wahi (inspiration) come to you? He said: At times it comes to me like the ringing of a bell **and that is most severe for me and when it is over I retain that (what I had received in the form of wahi), and at times an Angel in the form of a human being comes to me (and speaks) and I retain whatever he speaks. (Book #030, Hadith #5765)

The exact meaning behind those hadith are not known.
some commentaries just simply say that the sound is very disturbing.

so , what dose that hadeeth means , is that mean that bell is the voice of satan and the dog is the shape of satan

i myself use such expression in my life when i hear some words and it happens that it dosn’t get out of my head , hence i can use the expression which exactly means " these words are ringing in my ear or my head like a bell " , and believe me it dosn’t mean that i hear ringing of the bell at all , i just make an example of one ot it’s attributes

please read the hadeeth again and convince me

I spent a year casually reading through parts of sahih bukhari and muslim ages ago. I have got to tell you there is some seriously crazy stuff in there like Satan farthing across the sky every time the call to prayer sounds, Allah turning people into donkeys for not praying right, Satan sleeping your nose , satan urinating in your ears , non Muslims having 7 intestines, black cumin curing every disease but death, the seasons existing because hellfire complained to its master, everybody having devils inside them that circulate like blood, jews causing meat to decay, if you pray looking up your eyes will get snatched out. Im not joking all of the things can be found in sahih muslim and sahih bukhari.

i mean Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim are the most reliable hadith collections even so scholars often doubt (for obvious reasons) the veracity of many ahadith in these collections. They have a whole science trying to figure out which are authentic and obviously the more absurd one are pushed aside.some Muslims go as far as to
reject them all together that they a re just such a jumbled mess of nonsense. ( im sorry if i offend any muslims by saying so but that is my experience of them )

Yeah…and I just read this article (very hilarious but noted that it was meant to be serious regarding how Muslims think of the infidels, the unclean creatures …:D) that the hadits even comes with details on questioning how hygienic Muhammad must have been when in fact he had lice…Oh No!! 😃

The Sunan of Abu Dawud al-Sajistani (Book 19, Number 3074) as well as the Jamia al-Asul of Ibn Kathir and the Sunan al-Kubra of Imam al-Bayhaqi relate that a woman named Zainab was picking lice from the head of the Prophet (it is unclear from the texts if this is the daughter-of-law and cousin of Muhammad whom he married after she divorced his son Zayd, or another woman with the same name).

What’s the purpose of putting those narration on the collection of Hadits then?
If the sound is so disturbing, how could he get the right message?😉

I have pointed this out on a few occasions before, nevertheless it would not be out of place to point it out again → Trying your darnedest to convince yourself that Islam is not the Truth does NOT in any way prove that your own faith is.

If Christians are absolutely honest about it, they will readily admit that their own Bible contains numerous verses and passages that seems as “nonsensical” as the various ahadith that are being presented on this thread… but alas, I do not expect that honesty of purpose is the primary motivation in the establishment of this thread.

In the Catholic Tradition in understanding Scripture, we do not look at parts in isolation.

We look at every part in context of the whole in salvation history. So you have to understand the basics and the mission and the true understanding of how the mission is fulfilled in salvation history.

Without the understanding of mission and context, you will always be pulling passages out of context that have no initial meaning, and then use them to justify Koran passages that don’t have meaning beyond a basic statement of not to travel with a bell and a dog.

I like dogs. They are good. They are most faithful of all animals. Don’t be mean to dogs.
Bells are just as good as minarets. Bells have their sound, minarets have theirs. I prefer bells.
