In May this year Abbas dismissed a letter from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas suggesting that the two men return to the negotiating table. Hardly made the headlines. It appears that Palestine is doing a better job than Israel in the PR department.

It seems to me like Anonymous is guilty of waging the same kind of crusade they claim Israel is carrying out- the difference being that their god is the internet, and any attacks on the sacred internet must be met with indiscriminate retaliation! …of all the golden cows in the world- really? 🤷

Much attention has been given to the Israeli military’s use of social media to put forward its view of the war. Hamas has attempted to do the same, but the IDF is better funded and more sweeping.

As for the stalled negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Netanyahu insisted that no preconditions be imposed before the talks resumed. Abbas demanded that Israel first agree to stop building new settlements in the West Bank. This standoff was covered in the news, but perhaps drew little attention since the impasse between Israel and the Palestinian Authority seems like old news at this point.

I have read news reports from several sources which say that neither side wants a ground invasion. I find this credible. Hamas would suffer, as would the people of Gaza. And if Israel had wanted to launch an invasion, they could have done so by now.
 
I wonder who Anonymous really are. I disagree with the objectives of many of there online attacks, but in fairness, Israel announced they were shutting down the internet in Gaza on November 14, so they may be getting just a tiny taste of what Gaza is getting.

I think there’s plenty of “moral justification.” Israel seems to have done it to Gaza first. Better than car-bombing, IMO.

The last bastion of true freedom may very possibly be the Internet.
