I am not insinuating that. I am saying that the The Rapture is a man-made doctrine. If it had come from God, it would not have been missing from teaching for 1800 years

Hmm, I guess your learning needs some time. What is the definition of rapture you don’t think is Biblical? Let’s go from there.

As was previously discussed, the Holy Spirit will only expound those items that are pertinent to our time. There are earlier references however if it makes you feel better:

You assumed this applies to the rapture - that’s your strawman. He was pointing to the word of God. If you must apply it to a time of harvest, that would be at the end of the millennium, not its beginning.

You are confusing the tribulations of life with the wrath of God. His wrath will punish the hypocrites.

You should state how you deal with the rapture verses next rather than ignore them, so we know how you interpret them.

It is obvious your definition of “straw man” is somethiing you just choose not to like. The “Kingdom of God” is not heaven, but the Church. The only who dispute this is dispenstionalists. The calim that “God does not reveal anything before they become immefiate” is stupid. The Savior was foretold at the Garden of Eden. I am confusing nothing. I have the Church to guide me, which is protected from doctrinal eror by the Holy Spirit. I don’t ignore “rature verses” because there aren’t any.

The Catholic Church depends on reason. Our theology is based on taking the WHOLE Word of God, that is, Scriptures, Tradition, and Magesterial teaching. Everything fits together. Those who only take part of the Word of God can easily be lead astray, because of their lack of foundation. You have built your house on sand, rather than a rock.

People thinking for themselves apart from the Authoritative teaching of the Church founded by Christ and guarded by the Holy Spirit from teaching error is why we now have thousands of belief systems with conflicting and contradictory doctrines, instead of being ONE as Jesus prayed we would be.

How uncharitable and un-Christlike of you. Someone disagrees with your belief system so you insult them? Are others to believe that you came up with your eschatological beliefs of your own accord by reading a non-study Bible with no imput from anyone else?

The additions of men have truly wrecked havoc, unfortunately we will not be asked by God how well we followed a tradition, but we will be judged by how well we know Him.

Part of that knowing is knowing God’s love and how He works. That He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. According to you both, you expect no reward at His coming, but to be treated as the ungodly.

God will force no man to heaven, what can I say. 🤷

Hmm… let’s see. I find the idea of the Rapture to be pretty stupid because I see no evidence (and I’m not talking Bible verses here dude). That’s pretty much thinking for myself and coming up to my own conclusions.

What is uncharitable is a person starting a thread and ignoring refutes to his assumptions.

Are you big enough to acknowledge refutes and teachable enough to learn more - even if it doesn’t come from a tradition but is found in the word of God?

Tell me your definition of the rapture and I’ll give you the verse. Will one do, or would you like two or three?

You havent refuted anything. And what makes you think you know more than the Earky Church Fathers? They learned from the Apostles! For example both Sts. Ignatius of Antioch and Polycarp were disciples of St. John! Yet, somehow you know more? Have you read the Scriptures in their original languages? If not, you are relying on your own traditions. I know you are wrong, because I used to believe in the Rapture Heresy. I was a fundamental Baptist. I thought the Pope was the Anti-Christ. I have since come into the Truth. All of your posts have been excessively smug, but have been devoid of anything I have not seen before.
