You’re welcome, gracepoole. My fast was a little too easy, for one is supposed to feel hungry. And I fasted more than the traditional 25 hours this year, not intentionally (and not boasting LOL).

In your opinion when a Jew becomes a Christian you see it as a conversion. But most Jewish Catholics would differ with you, but would understand your misunderstanding.
I know Jewish Catholics. They describe themselves as converts. If I’m not mistaken, St. Edith Stein is famous for her quote that “the most Jewish thing a Jew can do is become Catholic”. What Jewish Catholics think of whether or not they actually converted though or not doesn’t really matter in the end. What matters is how the Church sees it. And they are treated as converts.
Have you ever gone to a synagogue for their Shabbat service?
No. I have no reason to.
Yes, we are also the chosen people, but God has not taken his faithfulness away from the Jews. They too are the chosen ones. We need to share this reality in Christ.
I’m sorry, but Catholicism is the fulfillment of Judaism. Treating a system which denies the Messiah the same as the one that accepts Him makes no sense. They are neither equal nor the same.

Reject the Gospel? First in the USA there are very few Jewish people. Just look at the statistics and how many Jewish people have you had the opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with? Not by tracks, not by a quick – Do you know Jesus - but getting to know them, getting to know about their faith. How coming to the USA changed how they lived their Jewish faith and life. Why do they have different branches of Judaism in this Nation?
You can’t reject a Gospel until you know what the Gospel is. Until you meet a person who is living the Good news in their own lives. Witness the Gospel, and there just might be many people who will want to know who is the Gospel – Jesus Christ.

Later, addressing representatives of the German¯Jewish community of Mainz in November 1980,
Pope John "Paul II spoke of “the depth and richness of our common inheritance bringing us together in mutually trustful collaboration.” Imbued with a deep understanding of Judaism and of the Jewish people, unique among modern pontiffs, he described Judaism as a “living” legacy that must be understood by Christians and spoke of a dialogue between “today’s churches and today’s people of the covenant concluded with Moses.” In this speech to the Jews of Mainz, the pope addressed the Jewish community with full respect as “the people of God and of the Old Covenant, which has never been revoked by God” and emphasized the “permanent value” of both the Hebrew Scriptures and the Jewish community, which witnesses to those Scriptures as sacred texts.

I do not see the Jewish faith as a system but a people of God whom Christ died for. A people God chose to have a relationship with and God will never revoke His covenant with.

Well, Judaism is around, yes. And Catholicism should most certainly be in dialogue with it – to bring them into the fullness of truth in the New Covenant.
Your are forgiven–
Was that an attempt to be clever and ignore what I said?

Definitely in all faiths there are bigots or ignorance of each other. If you look at Israel there are all kinds of sufferings of those of the different faiths. See how simple the Catholics live in Israel. Compared to how Catholics live here in the USA.
Bigotry for me, starts when you think everyone is like the one who hurt you, persecuted you or tried to ruin your life. But that’s why we are called to seek the grace to forgive those who hurt us or we will end up hating those who are different from us and wishing them evil. That is not what Jesus taught us from the cross. " Father forgive them. They do not know what they are doing,"

I’m pretty sure nearly half of all Jews in the world live in the US…

Not at all. The words you wrote seemed like a neon light and just had to take the opportunity at hand. Shalom tomorrow’s another day…God willing.

I see. I have no interest in continuing this conversation then as I was trying to be serious. I’ll take this opportunity then to mute the thread. Good night.

My goodness @Fauken did you flag me? Amazing who ever did in this forum… Does one flag automatically take you off?

Hi, could you please elaborate more on this with some pessages in the Holy Scripture? And what about little sister Protestant? Thank you.

Sincere regrets for assuming it was you as well as if my sarcasm was out of place.

Matt 5:14 I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. … I didn’t come to destroy them, but to fulfill them.

I know Jewish Catholics.
NOTE to all:

The Church prefers the term “Hebrew Catholic,” as a way to avoid scandal and to avoid upsetting members of the Jewish faith.

Well I know that even the SSPX isnt antisemitic, but what im talking about does also include the notion of jewish leaders ruling and destroying society.

In regards to the Jewish Question, treat them like you would anyone else, i.e., with the genuine love of Jesus Christ, as you would any Protestant, Muslim, Hindu, Wiccan, satanist, and other non-Christians. Pray for them and genuinely proselytize them like Jesus would want you to. Show them that God loves them so much He gave them the Messiah they desperately need, as we all need the redemptive love our Savior Jesus.

Comparing the Jewish people to wiccans and satanists is incredibly uncharitable. It is also incredibly insulting.
Given we share the same God, and the same earthly father Abraham
