Hebrew 1:3
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Are you deliberately avoiding my direct question?
I asked about the propesity to sin AFTER the particualr judgement. Not the washing away of the sins. What happens to our sinful nature after death? Can I be more explicit?
Our sinful nature is in our flesh and dies with the flesh.

For while we were living according to our human nature, sinful passions were at work in our bodies by means of the law, to bear fruit resulting in death

1My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

and my point is that verse 18 clearly says that a child of God is protected against mortal sin from satan.
If that’s true…why does verse 21 warn us to be on our guard against idols. He’s talking to children of God…yet cautions them against serious sin.

I thought you said in verse 18…a child of God is protected from Satan. If you sin…it’s because you allowed Satan to mislead you. Where’s the protection?

The greatest gift God could ever give to man is freedom from sin and right standing with Him.
Romans 6:15-23 describes how to gain freedom from sin. It provides tremendous comfort and is a great cause for rejoicing. We place our faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, we are “made free from sin” (vv. 18, 22). Deliverance is available to all who are haunted by their sin.

Romans 6:15
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! 16Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. 18You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

19I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness. 20When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life inb Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are called to live righteous, guarding ourselves from sin.

1 John 5:18 – John writes that anyone born of God does not sin (this, of course, doesn’t say or prove anything about salvation). This is an example of proverbial literature which John uses frequently. For example, see 1 John 1:8 – if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Proverbial literature tries to make a point by using an absolute, even though the absolute is necessarily qualified (here, as seen by 1 John 1:8 which seemingly contradicts 1 John 5:18).

Which of the two above is it?

Satan is defenseless against the Spirit.
he can and will tempt you in the flesh, much. But one who is truly born again will not be drawn to a sin that is unto death, spiritually.

If I understand you correctly…you mean drawn to an unrepented sin?

John 1:12 - Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God–

I believe and have received…

I John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

i confessed i am a sinner and no good w/o His work on the cross, God would have every right to be wrathful toward me.

Romans 8:38, 39 - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Me too, praise the Lord.

John 10:28, 29 - I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.

Firmly in the grasp of my Father God.

John 15:4 - Remain in me, and I will remain in you.

🙂

Ephesians 3:12 - In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

This is so awesome, i can personally call on Him and He is faithful to respond.

Hebrews 10:35 - So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

There is no doubt in my mind that you are a child of God. Of course…what I think is not important. What you and God know is! 👍

No what i am saying is being born again (justified) your spirit nature is continuing on the path of sanctification and immediately on death the spirit nature is freed from the flesh where sin resides… I meant that Satan will never draw you back out of the hand of our Father God, sin unto death of the spirit nature.

Are you sure about this? I’ve not heard him say anything contrary to OSAS off-hand. In this article on his website he sounds adamant that
The guy has apparently changed some of his former views. Yes, within the last 2-3 months he is now teaching views opposed to OSAS.
