and what claim would that be?I am going to grant you some leniency in your claim. .

But what Mormon person in their “right” mind would find Hitler admirable? That was your claim not mineIf the person who submitted his name has passed away, you won’t be able to find out what her thinking is. Or am I stating the obvious?
I’m not sure the person is dead. The date of death says “2100” which looks like kind of a place holder for those who are still alive. The same date is given to his spouse.you are STILL avoiding the question to your response…
WHAT DID THE MORMONS FINDS ADMIRABLE ABOUT HITLER TO BAPTISE HIM BY PROXY?
The person that submitted his name is dead by the way…I just can not fathom WHAT THEY FOUND ADMIRABLE about Hitler?!? KAARE INGMAR BYE submitted the name and passed away in 2000…also based on this persons geneaolgy I see no family connection to Hitler.
Thank you for the suggestion about the Local Steak Center…but I really have no desire to visit anything related to the LDS.…but if I did I would take my CUP OF HOT COFEE and magic underwear

see that is the point this person was not even related to HitlerKarin, you are asking me to explain the thinking of a dead person.
She’s probably thinking, “It’s so nice and peaceful up here in Mormon heaven where nobody bugs me about why I added Uncle Adolf’s name to the genealogy database!”
If you look at this link 2000 you will see that this person died in 2000 not 2100.I’m not sure the person is dead. The date of death says “2100” which looks like kind of a place holder for those who are still alive. The same date is given to his spouse.
Firstly, if you really want to find the answer to that question, you will have to ask the person who submitted his name, not us or the Church (assuming that it is true that he has been baptized). The LDS Church does not have a “vetting procedure” to decide whose name should be submitted and whose should not be. Church members normally submit the names of those whome they are related to; and for all I know his name might have been submitted by someone who was related to him.you are STILL avoiding the question to your response…

really that is not what was stated to me by another LDS member…Secondly, we don’t do vicarious baptisms for people because we find “something atractive about them”. It is a duty we owe to all mankind, especially to those who have been closely related to us.

can understand how some people can take offense at well-meaning Mormons baptizing people they admire who passed from this life.
Don’t jump to a hasty conclusion. If you’ve ever done much genealogy work, you’d be surprised at how quickly everybody becomes intertwined. There might not be a direct relationship but a claim to kinship is not specified by a set of onerous rules.see that is the point this person was not even related to Hitler![]()
who was making a joke? Not IAlso, I’m not sure if the temple work has been done. It doesn’t seem to indicate it online. You might have to visit a FHC to find out. But it’s sort of a silly point anyway, I really did think she was just making a joke.
so now your LDS rules are burdensome?Don’t jump to a hasty conclusion. If you’ve ever done much genealogy work, you’d be surprised at how quickly everybody becomes intertwined. There might not be a direct relationship but a claim to kinship is not specified by a set of onerous rules.
So know you view your practices as jokes…ok I guess baptizing dead people is a joke…I agree with you on thatKarin, please try to make more jokes. You owe it to the people that read your posts, to entertain them. Did you ever hear the one about the three priests who were out golfing one day?
I do notice that NO MORMON has touched this…they keep avoiding it like the plague???** WHY???**The Book of Mormon denies the possibility of changing one’s eternal fate after death. This is because at the time of the writing and publication of the Book of Mormon, Joseph and Sidney had not yet created their sci-fi religion of multiple gods and missionaries in a spirit world. The Book of Mormon reflects the prevailing Protestant religious view of the 1820s. The Book of Mormon says:
.33 And now, as I said unto you before, as ye have had so many witnesses, therefore, I beseech of you that ye do not procrastinate the day of your repentance until the end; for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold, if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the night of darkness wherein there can be no labor performed
34 Ye cannot say, when ye are brought to that awful crisis, that I will repent, that I will return to my God. Nay, ye cannot say this; for that same spirit which doth possess your bodies at the time that ye go out of this life, that same spirit will have power to possess your body in that eternal world.
35 For behold, if ye have procrastinated the day of your repentance even until death, behold, ye have become subjected to the spirit of the devil, and he doth seal you his; therefore, the Spirit of the Lord hath withdrawn from you, and hath no place in you, and the devil hath all power over you; and this is the final state of the wicked.
The Book of Mormon does not teach or support current Mormon doctrine. According to the Book of Mormon, baptism for the dead is of no avail.
God have mercy on the Mormons,
Paul
You KNOW I’m right.HoseMonkey, I see you are right. I will become Catholic immediately. Thank You for your useful contribution!
