The Jehovah’s Witness Faith
believes that Jesus of Nazareth is alive in heaven now.
However, they believe that his body of flesh was not glorified
and taken into heaven, but rather instantly dissolved by Jehovah
into nothingness on the 3rd day (Resurrection), and that Jesus was recreated as what he was before:
the 100% pure-Spirit Being named Michael the Archangel.
Does scripture support this view?
Does scripture teach that Christ is a 100% pure spirit being only,
now that he is back in heaven in the Holy Place (the heavenly Holy of Holies) ??
Consider this from Hebrews 9 (New Revised Standard Version):
But when Christ came as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation), he entered once for all into the Holy Place, not with the blood of goats and calves, but WITH HIS OWN BLOOD, thus obtaining eternal redemption.
and from John chapter 2, beginning at verse 18 (again from the New Revised Standard Version):
The Jews then said to him, “What sign can you show us for doing this?” Jesus answered them, “Destroy this Temple and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews then said, “This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking of the temple OF HIS BODY."
Not only here in John does Jesus speak of his BODY being RAISED UP, but note WHO Jesus said is going to be the One who RAISES it up.
How then can JWs leaders who write their literature claim that Jesus’s body (Greek: SOMA, physical body) was not glorified and raised up, but rather dissolved by God and he raised as
a purely-spirit being instead ??
