Constitution, Constitution, Constitution…
I think you missed the part where Dershowitz argued that Obama could have just sworn in Garland because advise and consent could mean almost anything, especially since many judicial appointments have been made during recess.

No. “We believe her” means that we will not prioritize a political agenda over giving her a fair hearing hearing,…
That would be because “we” prioritized disrupting a fair hearing by politicizing an allegation that could have been submitted for an actually fair hearing months or even many years ago.

You are playing games now.

Quibbling to obfuscate the truth.
On the contrary, I am only asking for the truth, not the spin-doctored, here’s-what-she-really-meant, words-put-in-mouth, faked version of what was said.
It appears that the logic of implications is not your strong suit.

If I say, “Rectangles should lose one side,” are you going to insist that including squares in the figures that should lose one side is a “spin-doctored, here’s-what-she-really-meant, words-put-in-mouth, faked version” of what I said?

You do realize that all squares are rectangles, yes? Even though all rectangles are not squares?

I mean reproductive health care.
Do you mean health care relative to the function of reproduction in human beings, including the uncompromising care for the health of the new human fetus cum baby?

What else is reproductive health care about if not reproduction?

Let’s not spin the words to include the willful cessation of reproduction, as in the killing of the baby in the womb, which surely is the antithesis of reproductive health care.

Speaking of a “spin-doctored, here’s-what-she-really-meant, words-put-in-mouth, faked version of” reproductive healthcare meaning the killing of the “product of conception,” is just that.

No. I learned the definitions of parallelograms, rectangles and squares in third grade.

@Ridgerunner’s misrepresentation is not a matter of drawing a proper inference from the use of a term that necessarily includes another, but of drawing an improper inference from the use of a term that may or may not include another. It also involves the problem of selective editing that I noted above.

Yes. I think that that was clear in my response to @Sarcelle.

Yes, but that isn’t how PP uses the term, and Hillary is a lifelong and undying supporter of PP. For them, care of the baby is very optional and not uncompromising, at all – unless, of course, we include counting all the baby pieces after the abortion to make sure the entire baby is present, as caring for the baby. Very hard to spin that as “care,” though.

Why does Christian, without any qualifiers, not necessarily include Catholics?

Judge Kavanaugh has had six, approved, background checks by the FBI. Now you may continue your mission of parroting the Democrat “insurance policy”.

The FBI is the Agency with the responsibility of investigating all those who are chosen to have an important place in our Government.

And when CS Lewis spoke of mere Christianity, he wasn’t necessarily including Catholics or any Christians, really. He likely only meant a hypothetical sect or possibly only one individual (himself likely) called a “mere Christian.”

Okay, I get your point. 😖

think Kavanaugh’s nomination is in serious jeopardy.
Interesting poll.
When looking only at counties where the 2016 presidential vote was close (Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump within 10 points), support for Kavanaugh is down 11 points from August: currently, 35 percent would confirm, while 54 percent wouldn’t
A majority, 56 percent, thinks the Senate should delay the confirmation process until hearings can be held on Ford’s claims. That includes 32 percent of Republicans, 50 percent of independents, and 80 percent of Democrats. The Senate Judiciary Committee plans to hear from both Kavanaugh and Ford next week.

When I hear talk of impeaching Kavenaugh even if he survives this scandal,I can’t help but feel that both sides will be motivated to vote so it remains to be seen which prevails.

Where is that idea coming from? Republicans?
