Klingons all the way- Ka’plah! Romulans and Vulcans tied for a close second. I’m such a geek. I’ve noticed that Catholics tend to be larger scifi fans than other people 😃
Some evangelicals(I am not saying all) are frightened of the imagination. There is a evangelical Christian website that claims that Christian children should never be allowed to read books with talking animals in the.😦

Ah well, they miss out on a lot.

Thanks to Spike and Tivo I’ve been able to watch all the Voyager and DS-9 episodes I missed out on in college and while I was far away from home doing arch fieldwork. I have to say that the DS-9 story arc is great. It makes the more recent TNG movies look quite boring and silly. Well, more so. As for Voyager, I like the concept, even if the execution at times left something to be desired. As for Enterprise, I just never liked the whole concept. You’d think with my historical bent I’d be more enthralled, but… I can’t say I’m too worked up over the upcoming Kirk and Spock at Starfleet Academy movie, either… I did like the Andorian character, though, on Enterprise. Same guy who played Weyoun (the Vorta) on DS-9. Also, the running gag with Morn (the big alien who sits at Quark’s all the time but never speaks) was pretty funny.

 :rotfl:
Maybe I shouldn’t admit to this but on occasions in Church when we all read the creed, it just reminds me of the Borg. It’s not a disrespect thing, it’s all the voices talking, as one. 🙂
Resistance is futile!

Mick Fleetwood was on a TNG episode - I think he played Whorf’s brother Kurn. Can anybody confirm this?

The Klingons of course! They value family, honor, dignity, and duty. Oh, and they can hold their own in a fight!

What list of favorite characters would be complete with out the beloved Lurians, Morn, the non-talkative permanent patron of Quark’s.

I’m all about the Klingons and their strong, scary women! Gotta love those villianous sisters, Lursa and Bettor. I also love Worf, but not those sad Klingons in the original series.
the duras sisters… coniving, sneaky…😃

There are Betazoids and then everyone else.

Can you say Lt. Commander Deanna Troi?

I didn’t watch many of the DS-9 episodes, so I didn’t know that Worf had married anyone.😛
He married Jadzia, who subsequently was killed in a battle of the Dominion War. The Dax symbiont was preserved, and the character was brought back as Esri Dax, a short, elfin girl who wound up with the Dr. Bashir.

Adonia, the Klingons talked about honor a lot, but in reality their society was violent and corrupt. And their capability in a fight depended on how much blood wine they had drunk. Truly honorable Klingons (like Worf) were looked down on and marginalized.

yup. she married will riker.
I don’t think they ever married. They dated for a while and then they decided to just be friends - you know, put their careers first.

Later, Deanna became involved with Warf.

Borg? Hmm, sounds Swedish.:hmmm:

Here’s a new question. Which Star Trek race most closely resembles the Catholic Church?
Code:
I answer the Borg. We want everybody to be like us, however we don't assimilate, much less destroy entire civilizations. We respect their free will. Another similarity is the Oneness of the Borg. All the Borg are on the same page in all matters.

I can't believe not one of you mentioned the Dominion. Who forgets the Dominion, I mean honestly?

You mean Stovelkor.

Myself, I’ve pined for a Borg/Dominion war. Or Dominion/Species 8472 war.
Borg/Dominion/Species 8472 War. Winner gets Andromeda Galaxy. Losers have to sit in a lecture hall listening to Captain Picard talk about Archaeology.🙂

I think they did marry - in one of the TNG films…
