I just lost 2 bars of gold-pressed latinum to a Ferengi acquaintance of mine. He sold me a antique tri-corder that he claimed once belonging to Doctor McCoy. What a rip-off! It was a modified 21st century flip phone. Antique yes, but not worth 2 bars.

It’s the opening scene in Star Trek: Nemesis. It was then referenced in Voyager when Barkley meets Troi and asks about the honeymoon.

I know who the Borg are, and I know who the Dominion are, but what the heck is Species 8472?
 
Species 8472 is the species from series Voyager that lived in fluidic space that the Borg were trying to assimilate.

Although I try very hard to maintain a spirit of charity on these forums, the fact that no one has even mentioned the Tholians is very upsetting to me. C’mon…remember “The Tholian Web”? A race of metalic looking bags with eyeholes that trapped the original Enterprise in a web of power? Kirk fading in and out of the universe in “interphase” while Spock tries desperately to save him?

You people are anti-Tholian. I am so ashamed.

The Bajorans are high on my list. I love how they developed the spirituality angle in DS9.
