Or maybe most of us just don’t have the time to go through pages and pages of dozens of apparent contradictions to refute them.
Maybe, but your retort is you have no retort?
These sort of threads really should be carried out bringing up one separate issue at a time, otherwise it’s just a competition to see who can post the longest list.
How about the one that the Koran can’t be translated?

1- i cant find any mention of any heavens in the surah and verse you mentioned Surah 70:27-30)
I apologize for the typo, it should have been 79:27-30. It is there, the chronological sequence is in ERROR surah79: 27-30 (but I have an inclination that you may have already known that;) ) Here Is the LINK the surah:submission.org/suras/sura79.html (PLEASE NOTICE this is an Islamic Website)😉

ERRORS below:
Actually, I do not see any clarification, perhaps you should go into more detail. Please.

Here are some ERRORS to ponder and to clarify:

Earth
created *first. (*Surah 2:29)

**Heavens created *first. ***(Surah 79:27-30)

All angels obey Allah. (Surah 16:49-50)

Not all angels obey Allah. (Surah 2:34)

Pharaoh drowned. (Surah 17:103, 28:40, 43:55)

Pharaoh did not drown. (Surah 10:92)

All of Noah’s sons were aboard the ark. (Surah 21:76-77)

Not all of Noah’s sons were aboard the ark. (Surah 11)

One angel spoke to Mary. (Surah 19:17-21)

Several angels spoke to Mary. (Surah 3:42-45)

Paradise has one garden. (Surah 39:73, 41:30, 57:21, 79:41)

Paradise has many gardens. (Surah 18:31, 22:23, 35:33, 78:32)

Allah can have a son. (Surah 39:4)

Allah can’t have a son. (Surah 6:101)

Face Mecca while praying. (Surah 2:115, 144)

Face Jerusalem while praying. (Surah 2:11

Why The** HUGE DIFFERENCES**, I mean they are** DIRECTLY OPPOSITE**?
Thank You.
2- All Angels obey Allah , the second verse you are mentioning refers to satan who isnt an angel but a Jin created from fire. the Quran states that he was from the angels in the sense that he used to worship God in their ranks.
**SATAN: Fallen Angel
Appendix 21

of the Authorized English translation of the Quran by Dr. Rashad Khalifa**

In God’s kingdom, certain creatures are necessarily given the powers needed to perform their duties. Satan believed that his God-given powers qualified him to function as an independent god. As evidenced by the prevalence of misery, disease, accidents, and war in his dominion, we now know that Satan is incompetent.

The Quran clearly states that Satan was an angel, by virtue of the immense powers and rank bestowed upon him. This is why he is addressed as an angel (2:34, 7:11, 15:29, 17:61, 18:50, 20:116, 38:71) prior to his fall. By definition, a jinn is a fallen angel (18:50). Satan’s rebellion teaches us that the angels were created with minds of their own, and absolute freedom of choice. (2:34).

There is no contradiction here .
I have already shown, using SOURCES OF ISLAM, the opposite. There is definite contradiction. Unless of course you disagree with renowned transaltion by Dr. Rashad Khalifa ?(Authorized English translation of the Quran)
i will reply for the rest when i have more time ,
Thank you and I await your response.
God Bless.

This is interesting to read:
** Islam claims that Allah is the same God who was revealed in the Bible.** . . . then if the Bible and the Qur’an have differing views of God, then Islam’s claim is false. Don’t forget that Muhammad claimed in Suras 2:87, 29:46, 32:23, 5:44, 6:154, 6:155 that Allah confirmed the Torah (Taurat) and Christian Gospel (Injeel) (Sura 2:87, 5:46, 5:68, 29:46 and 43:63). So, if the Torah and Gospel are correct, all the errors in the Qur’an shown below make the Qur’an false.

A tenet of Islam is that both Mohammed and Jesus of Nazareth were both Muslims. Islam says both were prophets sent by Allah. If this were true, then it is mandatory that these two great prophets must coincide exactly in all points and never contradict each other. Did not the same Allah send both of them? Then, aren’t even the smallest of contradictions between the two, very big red flags? And there are a great many, which you will see below.
Sura 5:68 - Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law (Torah), the Gospel (Injeel), and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord."

Sura 29:46 Muslims are told by Allah, not to question the authority of the scriptures of the Christians, saying, "And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one;

Islam says that Jesus did not die. So, again --Islam has proven to be false; because Muhammad claimed the Gospel is true, and all 4 Gospels (Injil) testify that Jesus died and rose from the dead. God does have a begotten Son (not made, but one with the Father), which Islam denies. The Jewish Torah / Taurat (Tawrat) clearly indicated this over 1000 years before Muhammad and Islam. In addition their are collateral 1st century sources that testify that Jesus was put to death. In the “Annals” written by Roman historian Tacitus, in Book XV, Chapter 44 we read “Christus, the founder of the name, was put to death by Pontius Pilate, procurator of Judea in the reign of Tiberius.” Roman historian Josephus also wrote about the death and Resurrection of Jesus. Even Satan says that Jesus died on the cross. Also, the *Roman Historian Seutonius *wrote in his work “Life of the Emperor Claudius” the following about Christians: “and deny the gods of Greece, and worship the crucified sage, and live after his laws.” *The Roman historian Pliny *wrote about Jesus’ death in Book X of his Epistles. Julius Africanus, quoting Thallus another Roman historian, who wrote in about 52 A.D. about the miraculas happenings the day the Son of God was killed. He wrote: “On the whole world there pressed a most fearful darkness; and the rocks were rent by an earthquake, and many places in Judea and other districts were thrown down”. Like Muhammad, Satan also cringes in fear at the sight of the cross. Read this true Exorcism here
Proverbs 30:4 (700 B.C.): “Who hath ascended up into heaven or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in His fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the Earth? What is His name, and what is His son’s name, if thou canst tell?”

(Psalm 2:11-12) Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Even after Allah confirmed the Torah and Gospel, Islamic Mullahs and Imams have tried to sell the lie that the Christian Gospels and Jewish Torah have been corrupted.
Some Excellent Points! I have added emphasis to that others may benefit from your arguments. I hope you do not mind.
God Bless.

Yes, and I think the quote you did is the ultimate nail in the coffin to Islam. It is a serious attack I would like Muslims to be able to refute — but they cant. According to their Prophet Mohammed they should repent as Christians and accept Christ into their lives yet they refuse to believe.

Sorry to burst your bubble again,

Verse 2- 29 says the following ‘’ It Is he who has created for you all that is on earth then created out of the sky seven skies ‘’

No where does it say that earth was created befroe the sky. It says that what is on earth ( animals , plants etc…) was created before god had formed the sky into seven skies or seven layers of skies . there is a difference bwetween forming the sky into seven layers and creating the sky in teh first place. We conclude from this verse that the sky was created befroe earth.

Now if you look into the verse 79 - 28/30 you will find that God says that he shaped it in the earth in the form of an egg and made it fit our living. no where does it say that the earth was created before the sky.

from above i see no contradiction at all.

Excuse me but rashid khalifa belongs to a non mainstream sect that is not considered muslim by the consensus of muslims scholars . they are the Quranites . please quote mainstream sources when you are arguing about mainstream islam.

In islam Jinn is a separate creature ansd not a fallen angel. I have already explained to you thatsatan was within the angels at first in terms of worship . he used to worship God among them. But as of his nature he is a jinn and not an angels . theya re two separate creatures as per Quran itself.

i can still see no contradiction.

ohh and from where did you get that this rashid khaleefa is renowed ??!

Well, not not true since:

002.029 He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth. Then turned He to the heaven, and fashioned it as seven heavens. And He is knower of all things.

In any event, the Earth, as stated above, was created first and this can be proved by simple Logic. Let us say, for arguments sake, that he formed the Heaven into Seven Heavens. Well, we know from above and by your own words that the Earth is present/created and therefore is COMPLETE. So, since he now turns and forms the seven Heavens, logically it is NOT COMPLETE.

The Trillion Dollar Question is:

If the Heaven was finished, why does he now make it Seven Heavens? This of course indicates that the Heavens were INCOMPLETE. GOTCHA😉
Now if you look into the verse 79 - 28/30 you will find that God says that he shaped it in the earth in the form of an egg and made it fit our living. no where does it say that the earth was created before the sky.
Well Again, not true :

079.027 Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built?
079.028 He raised the height thereof and ordered it;
079.029 And He made dark the night thereof, and He brought forth the morn thereof.
079.030 And after that He spread the earth,

I am not sure you are seeing what everybody else is seeing in the chronological sequence. It is of no circumstance, since the sequence and arrangement of the events are clearly indicating that the Heavens were built before the Earth.
from above i see no contradiction at all.
I am unsure that is true, firstly, because I have clearly shown there is a contradiction, secondly, because you are continually talking on this one comparison. THERE ARE OTHER ERRORS YOU HAVE EVADED. You cannot lead the members on this thread astray by being Evasive. Please give us a little more credit.

20:116 When We said to the angels, “Prostrate yourselves to Adam”, they prostrated themselves, but not Iblis: he refused.

As can be seen above, that Satan (Iblis) is in fact addressed with the Angels. If not then the above is unclear and should be clarified, since it should have added …Satan (Iblis), the Jin,… but it was clearly left out.
i can still see no contradiction.
As per your usual. That of course does not mean that the CONTRADICTION***S ***do not exist.

I will post it again until you clarify all these ERRORS, here we go:
The Trillion Dollar Question is:

If the Heaven was finished, why does he now make it Seven Heavens? This of course indicates that the Heavens were INCOMPLETE.

you are assuming stuff and judging them in the same time. There is no criteria that necessitates the completion of one creatiopn for the starting of another and there is no stipulation that what is ‘‘on’’ earth could not be created unless with the creation ‘‘of’’ earth!!!

you are forcing the text to say what it doesnt say !! The creation of earth is separate from the creation of whats on earth. The creation of the sky is separate from the formation of the sky into seven skies !! Everey one of these is a separate process and you could not get any contradiction unless you forcibly twist the text into fooling some people that they are one in teh same while actually the text doesnt say so !!!

For you the ceration of the sky is teh same as forming it into seven skies !! the creatiion of earth isa same as creation what is ‘’ on ‘’ earth!!! If you dont want to understand then i cant convince you to understand . but i can clearly tell that you are skipping teh details so that your argument makes sense !! So again , sorry, but the only people who will believe you are the people who want to believe you .

I didnt evade anything. i am waiting till the end for you so that we move into the next topic. i already refuted this gramatical error joke that has been on this thread and i am taking them one by one .

Again there is no contradiction .

Rashid khalifa isnt in any of what you quoted. He is a lost guy on his own!! and i have every right to wonder why did you pick him specifically to repåresent islam while he is almost unknown tio the whole muslim world except some lost people in the US !!

7:11 It is We Who created you and gave you shape; then We bade the angels bow down to Adam, and they bowed down; not so Iblis; He refused to be of those who bow down.

As per your usual. That of course does not mean that the CONTRADICTION***S ***do not exist.
i alrteady clarified it above for you and you refuse to understand . Iblis was worshipping God among the angels and would worship same as the angels . Therefore he was present among the angels when asked to bow to Adam. But his nature is from teh Jin.

You can say ‘’ peter bought the farm’’ meaning he died in battle or that he actually bought a farm!!!

the arabic word ‘’ Min’’ can mean a member of a group and can also mean a member of his kind’

Iblis was a member of the group of angels worshipping God but he is a member fo his kind in bieng a Jinn. Both would be inclöuded by teh Usage of teh Quran of the word ‘‘Min’’

No contradictions sir!!

Next

You havent even mentioned any of my arguements…

I think you’re next.

Could i get a reference for your understanding of the Koran as you have stated above? I would not say it people who want to believe what has been cited actually it is quite the contrary. But it is so clear to others including Muslims, one of which you have totally insulted, about the errors in the Koran that it borders on ridiculous.
I didnt evade anything. i am waiting till the end for you so that we move into the next topic. i already refuted this gramatical error joke that has been on this thread and i am taking them one by one .
I do not think you have refuted anything at all since you have no references for your conclusions.

I am not sure Dr. Rashid was picked to represent Islam, but he has published the Authorized English Version of the Koran. I have compared the verses with other sites and there is no difference, the meaning is unchanged and as presented by MMLJ.

Here tell me bout this:

22:47 And [so, O Muhammad,] they challenge thee to hasten the coming upon them of [God’s] chastisement: [62] but God never fails to fulfill His promise - and, behold, in thy Sustainer’s sight a day is like a thousand years of your reckoning. [63]

32:5 He governs all that exists, from the celestial space to the earth; and in the end all shall ascend unto Him [for judgment] on a Day the length whereof will be [like] a thousand years of your reckoning. [4]

OR

70:4
all the angels and all the inspiration [ever granted to man] ascend unto Him [4] [daily,] in a day the length whereof is [like] fifty thousand years…

Huh? Which is it 1000 or 50000 years?🤷

Also you have been pretty quiet about Post #8, 9, 10, 11, and 43.

You see the numbers 1000 can also mean 50000 in Arabic so there is a translation mistake. 🤷

My reference is the Quran itself. i just simply translated the verses and didnt allow MMLJ from mixing up different things to be as one. bieng a muslim myself , i know that rashid khalifa is not even considered one by mainstream islam. Go to any mainstream muslim forum and ask about him if you dont believe .

i cannot MAKE you understand , i can only show you that you got your information wrong or incomplete.

''I am not sure Dr. Rashid was picked to represent Islam, but he has published the Authorized English Version of the Koran. I have compared the verses with other sites and there is no difference, the meaning is unchanged and as presented by MMLJ.

‘’’’’

there are non muslims who publish the koran , that doesnt mean it is accepted by muslims just because it is published . To be accepted by muslims it has to be authorized by mainstream muslim councils. If mr khalifa says in his interpretation that Iblis was an angel in kind , i am sure his koran wont be allowed to enter from teh door step of these councils in teh first place. This is something that muslims have a consensus on. We dont have a concept of fallen angel in islam . pure and simple .

Meedo, do you have any further information about how the Koran can’t be properly translated?

It would be good if whoever is posting these contradictions, let the muslims first respond, then post the next contradictions, it’s a huge task for them to answer so many things at once. Show some respect please, and please keep in mind, arabic is a different language, and just because there is a grammatical error present in the english translation, it may not be so in the actual arabic.

Cmon people, display some skill in debating.

I am catholic, but I agree with Meedo, unless you study the arabic language yourself, it’s hard to translate to other languages, it is not like english or latin, so it’s a big ask for him to translate it perfectly when the words or tenses or meaning may not exist in english.

I have difficulty getting a point across from my native language when translating to english.

Also remember, many people the Bible has errors, because they don’t read it in context, we can because we are more learned with the bible.

Just keep this in mind, ok continue the debate 😉

That’s simply a weird idea. Arabic is a language with syntax and structure and it can and is translated into English every day. People trade with Arabs all the time. It’s closely related to Hebrew and Aramaic and they’re translateable too.

If you want to know how crazy your idea is, ask yourself “How is it that Meedo is able to quote the Koran in English when he’d defending it”?
I have difficulty getting a point across from my native language when translating to english.
That might be simply your own problem. With the Koran we see experts in both English and Arabic translating it into English and choosing those words/phrases in English that best convey the meaning of the texts. They’re experts doing this.

The Bible too is translateable into Arabic and used by Arabic-speaking people.

Are you saying the Bible has errors? Not a very Catholic of you.
Just keep this in mind, ok continue the debate

Arabic is only a ‘unique’ langauge untranslateable to Moslems.
