Yours is the assertion with no proof. You haven’t the foggiest.
Would would you say to all of the faithful followers of Christ who did not know of the doctrine of the Trinity prior to the two Councils of Nicaea?Belief in the Trinity is crucial.
The RCC has a right to accept or reject other beliefs and practices for whatever reason it chooses. The Catholic Church does not accept the LDS baptism as valid just for this reason.
LDS baptism is a Christian baptism, it’s just not an Orthodox Christian baptism. It is not a Christian baptism as the LDS invocation of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit means something entirely different than what Christian belief is.
This is CAF so if this is good enough for you, that’s fine.So while you may not accept this proof, it is good enough for the me.
Better stated IMHO: Your god(s) are very different than the God of Orthodox Christianity.Your god(s) are very different that the God of Christianity.
As Christians, we care about Mormons and want them to go to Heaven. Worshipping a different Christ isn’t going to get them there. I’ve only known one Mormon who admitted that Mormons aren’t Christians. And imho, he was more honest than the Mormons who believe they are Christians. Why does everyone care what Mormons call themselves? They can call themselves Martians if they want to. What difference does it make? We know that they worship a different Christ. They admit to it. All that really matters is the truth. And if it makes them feel more safe in following a false Jesus, so let it be.
I’m not suggesting that we remain silent about who Jesus is. I just think the argument over a label is sort of silly. I don’t care what they call themselves. I just care what is truth. We continue to tell Mormons the truth instead of having an air of indifference and remaining silent about the “Jesus” they believe in because we love them and care about their souls. We continue to pray for them and leave the heart change to the Holy Spirit.
If that is the case what do you make of the CCC that speaks of making men gods? One of the biggest problems I have is they teach equality with God - each one of them can become just like God and we know as Catholics how wrong that is.
This is not LDS belief. Mormons believe that Mary was a virgin during her pregnancy when she was carrying Jesus. The other one that blows me away is that God had a physical relationship with Mary.
It’s in the Bible. That Satan is Jesus brother - that’s not what the bible says its absolutely ridiculous and I don’t know how you come to believe these things.
I hope you weren’t saying that to me. That was not my view. That was Mormonism.Yes I am well on my way to hell in your view. Thanks
Mormons totally twist the meaning of Scripture.BT3241:![]()

CCC 460 The Word became flesh to make us “partakers of the divine nature”: “For this is why the Word became man, and the Son of God became the Son of man: so that man, by entering into communion with the Word and thus receiving divine sonship, might become a son of God.” “For the Son of God became man so that we might become God.” "The only-begotten Son of God, wanting to make us sharers in his divinity, assumed our nature, so that he, made man, might make men gods."

Job 1:6 One day, when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, the satan also came among them
Job 2:1 One day, when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, the satan also came with them.
I hope this helps…
That is correct. They believe that the Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary, which allowed her to be in the presence of God without being consumed. She was conceived by God. Now, the Mormons today will spin it a little differently and say that it was not necessarily sexual intercourse as we know it, but could have been something similar to in vitro. In other words, they have backed off of any official position in spite of what many of their past leaders have said. The thing is, the Mormon God is schizophrenic and you never know what to believe one day to the next. One thing that is totally consistent about Mormonism is its inconsistency. Their doctrine is driven by the direction of the winds.Don’t Mormons believe that the Virgin Mary didn’t conceive by the power of the Holy Spirit? How does that square with the Bible, which says that she did?Luke 1:34-35 RSVCE - And Mary said to the angel, “How can - Bible Gateway
