Interesting twists - Ben has cancer yet he could cure Juliette’s sister. The women can’t have babies on the island yet it seems to be a mystical healing paradise (yet Ben has cancer).

And I was SHOCKED with the last minute where you find out Juliette is a plant. Not that she was a plant but that we found out so soon. Maybe a bone for the people who don’t like to be left guessing anymore?

But even that opened up some interesting questions in regards to Claire. Was she rescued by Alex or allowed to escape w/ some implant or whatever?

And now that I think of it, didn’t Ben say he was BORN on the island? How did that happen if women can’t have children there? Maybe he wasn’t conceived their and that’s the defining moment.

And Juliette just chuggin the o.j.! And why is the trip a doozy?

Interesting about that communication facility and contact w/ the outside world.

And whatever happened to Desmond’s girlfriend at the end of season 2 now that I think of it?

And didn’t the previews for next week say something about the beginning of the end?

So many thoughts today. Sorry about the ramble.

That is how the show always leaves us…just asking more questions.
 
Well the show is starting to get a little better again now. However, I still prefered the show when it wasn’t as scientific and more supernatural like it was in the first season

Jack made me so sick in this week’s episode. I have never liked Juliet, and when he told Sayid “she’s under my protection”…was just nauseating. Who does he think he is? And then when Juliet gave her lecture to Sayid and Sawyer (2 of the best characters ever) about their lack of morals…uggghh. She and Jack deserve each other.

Fickle? Impatient? That’s amusing. The show is in its thrid season, nearly done with the thrid season actually, and we know nothing more now then we did after the first program…at least nothing of importance. Sure, they have developed a lot of characters, but they have not told us the answer to any of the important questions.

Three seasons is impatient?
 
I think the show has jumped the shark, The best thing that could happen is for ben and his gang left the island for good.
 
The show is still bar far the best written program on TV.

However, I do know that the network is planing and end, in the not too distant future. Next season my be it’s last, from what I’ve read.

It’s an expensive production to produce. Currently the network is making $7 million an episode, which might seem like a lot, but American Idol makes $14 million and Dancing With The Stars is about $11 million.

I believe its vieweship is off 40% this year, I really like the one one week before last -the one with the diamonds and the cuple buried alive.
 
BTW-being a CPA when saw the subject i though someone had lost their tax returns. if so I have a couple dozen on my desk Ill be glad to give them
 
The Others left the bunkers.
The bunkers are protected by a sonic gate which the ‘monster’ doesn’t like.
The bunkers have the amenities of a real neighborhood - including a garden already started, tv, music, books, and a medical facility!

Why didn’t Jack, Sayid, and Kate just take everyone on the beach over to those bunkers to move in there? If the others come back they can chase them away. I don’t get it.

Because they’ll be back

I said the same thing to my wife and I think that the others must go back and forth and they obviously have superior skills and I don’t think it’d be safe if the losties went there. I don’t think it’d be so easy for them to chase the others away.

This past episode with Desmond’s backstory was THE GREATEST EPISODE YET! (just kidding Tom! 👍 )

It certainly wasn’t in my top 10 but was interesting in the sense that it would seem there is another ‘catholic’ on the island. It was an interesting tie-in with the Abraham story. Especially if you contrast him with Locke who was ok with ‘the island wanted a sacrifice’ when it came to Boone.

And now we have another hot chick on the island! :rolleyes: Just kidding.

But it should be interesting. I was talking to my co-worker about the finale last season with the 2 guys in the station in the snow and she didn’t know what I was talking about. I wonder how many other people missed it. My wife watched it and taped it for me (thankfully she just let the tape run and didn’t shut it off) but turned the t.v. off when it went to the blizzard. She assumed it was over and just a commercial. She watched it with me and started to talk at the blizzard stuff and I told her to hang on and WWHHOOAA! Interesting.

My wife is getting nearly as frustrated as I am…and she has patience at levels I never journeyed. 🙂
 
Is Purgatory now an option again considering they supposedly found the plane and there were no survivors? That could explain how no pregnant person on the island survives since you can’t have a new soul born in Purgatory but you can have a soul that was already there born as was the case with Clair’s baby. I doubt they are in Purgatory but that was a new twist them being supposedly all dead. Perhaps Juliet died on the way over to the island as well. The show is a little better again now but I don’t want it to go on forever.

Well keep in mind that the mother’s who conceive on the island die. So, is this purgatory? I use to think so in the beginning, but now I’m not sure.

Fact is though, they revealed that they are all dead, which has been the premise from the beginning.

I agree. Or is it just a mind game? Or maybe it’s like that movie Identity where there are all these characters which happen to be the different personalities of one murderer. Maybe it’s just one person’s multiple personalities? Or maybe it’s a mind controling lab experiment to test how people react (physically and emotionally)to different situations?

No. One person from the outside revealed that as far as the that person knew all remains from the flight were found and there were no survivors. We don’t know yet who she works for and what she was told.

We do know that Desmond’s girlfriend is monitoring activities on that island and we know her father’s company has something to do with all that. She obviously doesn’t believe Desmond’s dead.

Michael and his son are now off the island, have been for a couple of weeks now. The others were going to let Jack go home. They couldn’t do that if their return to the world would have uncovered a mass conspiracy which would lead people to discover the island and all the experiments taking place there.

We still have the people behind the fertility experiments, too, from the ‘outside’ who know about what’s going on there. Remember they had that one guy in the park filming the sister and her son in real time.

That’s at least two ‘real world’ confirmations that the island is real as are the experiments. Besides it’s those outside contacts which keep dropping supplies on a regular basis. So, no I don’t believe they’re in purgatory.
 
As for the pregnant women dying:
What we know is all the “other” pregnant women who conceived on the island died.

They’ve been on the island for 3 months.
Claire gave birth early on and she’s been fine (as has Aaron).
Remember that it was Juliet who triggered Claire’s illness in an attempt to win over the trust of these people, and now we know it’s only to gather test samples from all the women.

We don’t know where Ben and the ‘Others’ came from. We know Juliet came from the outside, but that’s it. John walks, Rose’s cancer is gone, but Ben gets cancer. Claire delivers a healthy baby, Sun conceives from an otherwise infertile Jin, and yet all the ‘Others’ moms die.

Nope. I think all this is about who the Others are.
