Jim, when Jesus started teaching me and I saw that there was much of what I was being taught which didn’t go along with what I had been taught by the Church, I had a hard time and asked Jesus how I could stay submitted to the Church and not accept it’s teachings? Jesus told me not to summit, **but to co-operate with. **Letting me know I was no longer under the Churches authority, and I was to help not fight. My job is to give a word to his people in and out of the Catholic Church.
Giver, Why don’t you ask Jesus why He is lying. He told you not to submit, and you say to “co-operate with”. Who are you cooperating with? His word says
“Matt 18:17 …and if he refuses to hear **the church **also, let him be unto thee as the Gentile and the publican.
and
" Anyone who listens to you listens to me; anyone who rejects you rejects me, and those who reject me reject the one who sent me."
I, and others, have asked you this before but you have ignored it. Why do you keep ignoring these passages?

No one has ever shown me where I’m in error Scripturally; I get a lot of Catholic Church teachings that make Scripture say things that it doesn’t say, which of course you say tells me I’m wrong, but really all I am is in disagreement with some Catholic teachings.
Look above. There is your whole problem. You refuse to listen. Your errors have been pointed out to you countless times, but you remain in your stubbornness, and arrogantness with this “I asked Jesus and he told me….”
You say people have shown me where I am Scripturally off, well show me where I said anything that isn’t word for word, in the Bible, if you can.
Nobody here has said that what you quoted isn’t word for word in the bible. Everybody keeps telling you that YOUR INTERPRETATION is way off base. Get that through your thick skull. Remember, even Satan quoted scripture to Jesus, but he was way off in his interpretation. What do you compare your interpretations with? Oh, yes, It’s the old “I asked Jesus and He told me….” bit.
Pax stated
We also present arguments and scripture that refute what you say
and
I have never said or argued that any verse of scripture doesn’t mean what it says. I have argued that what “you” claim is not what it means or says. In other words, it is your interpretation and application of scripture that I disagree with.
Pax is correct and so is everybody else.YOUR INTERPRETATIONS ARE ALL WRONG BUT All you come up with is “I asked Jesus and He told me….”

And you keep quoting (1 John 3:5-6) “Now you know that he appeared in order to abolish sin, and that in him there is no sin; anyone who lives in God does not sin, and anyone who sins has never seen him or known him.” So since you apparently know Jesus, you are no longer a sinner?

The Jesus that you listen to is NOT the one who said "Upon this Rock I will build my church..... and the gates of HELL will not prevail...."
AGAIN, ANSWER THE QUESTION ABOVE? ARE YOU LISTENING TO HIS CHURCH? IF JESUS TOLD YOU **NOT **TO LISTEN TO HIS CHURCH, ASK HIM WHY HE IS CONTRADICTING HIMSELF. PLEASE LET US ALL KNOW JESUS’ ANSWER.

I haven’t found many people on this forum that confess that they don’t sin. If a person sins they don’t know God. (1 John 3:5-6) “Now you know that he appeared in order to abolish sin, and that in him there is no sin; anyone who lives in God does not sin, and anyone who sins has never seen him or known him.”
you don’t sin?
im struglling with sin please pray for me

anyway your taking that verse out of context.

**

1 John 1
8If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

1 John 2

1My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also fora] the sins of the whole world. **

HMMM… didn’t David Berkowitz also claim God was speaking to him?

I would encourage everyone to quit replying to Giver, Aka, Robert heiba (unless he comes clean). One of 2 things is true about him.

#1. He was never a Catholic, and he is a a fundie in the order of Fred Phelps, antagonizing everyone here trying to have an honest discussion. And might I add that his theology is lacking. Praying for the gift of tongues? Why? To what end? The original gift was so the apostles could preach the word to nations not their own. What use does it really have today? Why would you want it and what purpose does it serve?

#2. Giver is a poor, lonley old man who finids company on this site. Maybe even delusional if his posts are true. In any case, Robert, we would welcome you as an old, lonley, friend. Just be honest with us.

In either case Robert, just be honest with us. We will love you all the more!!!

I’m not saying you’re bad, but I am saying you’re wrong. You ARE a fraud, and no amount of sophistry is going to change that.
Why?

(1 John 3: 3 - 9) “Surely everyone who entertains this hope must purify himself, must try to be as pure as Christ. Any one who sins at all breaks the law, because to sin is to break the law. Now you know that He appeared in order to abolish sin, and that in Him there is no sin; anyone who lives in God does not sin, and anyone who sins has never seen Him or known Him. My children do not let anyone lead you astray; to live a holy life is to be holy just as He is holy; to lead a sinful life is to belong to the Devil, since the Devil was a sinner from the beginning. It was to undo all that the Devil has done that the Son of God appeared. No one who has been begotten by God sins: because God’s seed remains inside him, he cannot sin when he has been begotten by God.”

(1 John 5: 16) “If anybody sees his brother commit a sin that is not a deadly sin, he has only to pray, and God will give life to the simmer - not those who commit a deadly sin; for there is a sin that is death, and I will not say that you must pray about that. Every kind of wrongdoing is sin, but not all sin is deadly.
We know that anyone who has been begotten by God does not sin, because the begotten Son of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.” So then, brothers, there is no necessity for us to obey our unspiritual selves or to live unspiritual lives. If you do live in that way, you are doomed to die; but if by the Spirit you put an end to the misdeeds of the body you will live.”
You seem to be missing some key components of the verses above so I took the liberty of highlighting them for you, as well as the following one in Hebrews If you, after having read these, along with the same verse I posted above from the very same letter of 1 John, still do not comprehend the meaning all it can be attributable to is indomitable self will, not the will of God. John is quite clearly speaking of people who deliberately sin against God, making a conscious decision to do so. Hebrews likewise.
(Hebrews 10:26-31) “If, after we have been given knowledge of the truth, we should deliberately commit any sins, then there is no longer any sacrifice for them. There will be left only the dreadful prospect of judgment and of the raging fire that is to burn rebels. Anyone who disregards the Law of Moses is ruthlessly put to death on the word of two witnesses or three; and you may be sure that anyone who tramples on the Son of God, and who insults the Spirit of grace, will be condemned to a far severer punishment. We are all aware who it was that said: Vengeance is mine; I will repay. And again: The Lord will judge his people. It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
St. Faustina spoke to Christ often tangibly and audibly. Jesus never told her anything contrary to scripture. The person speaking to you though is consistantly telling you that which is contrary to scripture. If no one is a sinner, then Christs very sacrifice is in vain and we have no need of Him to intercede with the Father, as John tells us in the very same letter.

Tell us, which spirit would have us believe we do not sin? (Therefore having no need of an advocate before the Father) John tells us in his first epistle. Jesus also tells us who has always been a liar.

Peace and God Bless

I can’t remember Jesus ever giving me a teaching where he quoted anything but the Bible.

If you would go and read my thread “Anyone who willfully & deliberately sins doesn’t know God, just ask Ananias.” You should see that I understand what these scriptures mean.

Actually, you were refuted quite soundly there.

The entireity of that thread, and everywhere else you’ve posted.

Sorry, bud, I’ve recently realized that talking to heretics about this stuff–even heretics who don’t pretend to hear Jesus verbally–is a fruitless exercise. It’s not that they disagree with me or the Church–that’s fine. Rather, it’s that they use every logical fallacy we have a name for, constantly avoid direct questions, and continually change the subject. Throw in pathologies like you have, and well, I’d just be wasting valuable time. I still have to iron my shirt for work, after all.

Others with more zeal and less cynicism will continue to slap down your silly theological fantasies, and I’ll continue watching and providing the occasional funny zinger. That’s my job, I guess. 😉

Well, here my friend you are calling Jesus a liar. Jesus said He would be with His Church till the end of time. Again I repeat. The jesus (and I put it in small letters as it is appropriate) that you are listening to is NOT the Jesus that died for our sins, rose, and the Jesus that WILL come again. We know we are listening to** Jesus **because we go by His Word. You say you are listening to Jesus because you hear voices and those voices contradict everything that is written in HIS WORD. Yours is not proof. Yours is a delusional figment of your imagination. Your jesus is teaching you heresy and are refusing to listen to the real Jesus. You are obsessed with the voices you hear.

You can believe what ever you want, but Jesus said that everyone would be judge by his Word. He told us to love our enemies, give up all our possessions, not to call another man father, not to store. I guess whom ever lives the Word of God they will be saved.

Your knowledge of the scriptures is really lacking Robert.

Acts 7:2 - St. Stephen calls Jewish leaders “fathers”
Acts 21:40, 22:1 - St. Paul calls Jerusalem Jews “fathers”
Rom 4:16-17 - Abraham called the father of us all"
1Cor 4:14-15 - I became your father in Christ through gospel
1Tim 1:2 - my true child in our common faith
Heb 12:7-9 - we have earthly fathers to discipline us
Lk 14:26 - if anyone comes to me without hating his father…
1Thess 2:11 - we treated you as a father treats his children
Philem 10 - whose father I became in my imprisonment
1Jn 2:13, 14 - I write to you, fathers, because you know him

Jesus told not to do or to do things, and it seem that when what he told us isn’t acceptable to some people’s way of life, they just go and find something they can interpret to say there way is OK.

(Matthew 5:43-44) “You have learnt how it was said, you must love your neighbor and hate your enemy, but I say this to you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

(Matthew 6:19) “Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moths and woodworms destroy them and thieves can break in and steal.”

(Luke 14:33) “So in the same way, none of you can be my disciple unless he gives up all his possessions.”

(Luke 6:34-35) “And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what thanks can you expect? Even sinners lend to sinners to get back the same amount. Instead, love your enemies and do good, and lend without any hope of return.

(1 John 3:5-6) “Now you know that he appeared in order to abolish sin, and that in him there is no sin; anyone who lives in God does not sin, and anyone who sins has never seen him or known him.”

(Matthew 7:21) “It is not those who say to me, ‘Lord, Lord’, who will enter the kingdom of Heaven but the person who does the will of My Father in Heaven. When the day comes many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, cast out demons in your name, work many miracles in your name?’ Then I shall tell them to their faces: I have never known you; away from me, you evil men!”

(John 12:47-48) “If anyone hears my words and does not keep them faithfully, it is not I who shall condemn him, since I have come not to condemn the world, but to save the world: he who rejects me and refuses my words has his judge already: the word itself that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day.”
