I think the GOP would be better off long-term if they killed the ACA even without a replacement. The left-wing media has created such hysteria with the numbers that once people realize it’s good the fed is getting out and they have more private choices and coverage, they’ll be more inclined to disregard liberal solutions. As El Rushbo noted, the Democratic leaders were willing to take the hit politically to pass ObamaCare. Remember, they even told Bart Stupak on that plane he had nothing to lose cause he was going to lose anyway. Tell that to a McConnell Republican and they break for the hills.

Unless they go full conservative right now, it’s more of a losing situation versus a very big losing situation. They’re not going to be able to say “Trump wanted too much, and Democrats still own it” after the people gave them 2 branches of government. The only saving grace the GOP has is that the DNC has gone full overboard on ID politics. But at end the day, no matter what the social media commentators say, the votes that matter most are going to come from people who think pocketbook first.

Some of us are represented by Democrats. Do you not think that we count or should only those with republican representation have a voice?

If Trump’s not a racist, he certainly seems to play one on TV.

the dems passed ocare without reading it. did you have representation when they just voted the party line. no different today.

the bill should be judged on what it does and not on who voted for it.

if he said the bill is terrible and it isn’t good for the country than so be it; but, he said he would have voted for a similar bill which tells me he is just politicking. a rino in action. he was for repeal for how many years.

Sorry, but straight white liberal males do not have the authority to determine what is racist and what isn’t.

I’ve already called you a WAHMBULANCE on the other thread since you’re having a crisis.

Sadly, yes.

And it’s an even poorer reflection of the American people.

Remind me again what race Islam is?

Black people? He’s never said anything racist about them! Lots of Black people work for him!

And as for the rest, well, let me just shorten it and say you don’t speak for us.

Why do Americans pay 3 times as much for the same healthcare as every other 1st world nation? They do okay and they haven’t collapsed from it while America is the worst debtor nation in the world.
Show us reliable sources saying Americans pay 3 times as much as every other first world nation, comparing apples to apples. A lot of foreign costs are not counted, like free medical education and a completely separate legal system for malpractice cases, for example. The costs of the “private” portions of some of them are largely unknown because the governments aren’t involved in that sector. In France, for example, the private sector is about 1/3 of the total, but the government doesn’t keep track of their costs. But a lot of costs really are higher. Since the U.S. has more MRI machines per capita by far than any country on earth except Japan, that kind of thing does add to costs. The remaining question is, of course, whether having them is better for patients or not.

And America isn’t the “worst” debtor nation in the world, though its debt is problematic. Unfortunately, socialized medicine will only make it worse.

Black people, Muslims, Hispanics…you know, the usual.
is he anti-Black people or anti-law and order? I haven’t heard him say anything about law abiding Black people.

Muslims are not a race. many people of different races are Muslim.

is he anti-Hispanic or anti-illegal immigration? I haven’t heard him say anything about legal Hispanic immigrants or Hispanic citizens.

you want to use the race card because it played so well for the last 8 years.

the country has issues and denying the issue because of political correctness is ludicrous.

At least they had almost three months to read it.
and they didn’t! shows how much they care for you. what did their representation do for you?

they made sure they got there exemption.

premium are up, co-pays are up, time in line is up if you want a clinic and doctor availability is down even with their PA’s. what is to like about this.

now ymmv; each person has their own needs.

I think you guys are missing the point. The Republicans are voting for changes made on the fly. The ACA was frozen before they voted on it.

John McCain should have retired years ago.

Look up the Keating Five.

He should have left back then.
