According to the proposal, this exemption from liability only applies if it is unintentional.
A few other states are increasing the cost/penalties for protesting.

The ND drive and hit bill reflects a meaner and more aggressive approach to quelling unruly crowds.
The point is that violent protesters must learn that there is always going to be someone ‘bigger and badder’ than the cause they fight for.

The ante if raised.

I thought they were supposed to be cat ears, not faux lady parts. For a play on words.
As an avid knitter who has seen that pattern show up in more than one community and has considered making one for her daughter after all of this fades from memory, yes it is a cat ear hat. Not a vagina hat.

Its all so sad. First the rainbow and now cats.
What next?

There are many more nicer animal hat crochet/knit patterns out there.

Therein lies the hypocrisy. These women who feigned outrage at Trump’s comments, weren’t really offended, the speak and act in ways far worse than anything he said. His bus tapes were a convenient opportunity to hopefully flatten his campaign.
You apparently mix the point that the outrage was over the admission of serial sexual assault.
… HC … could become the POTUS!
Actually there were complaints about the contents of the tape from many leading Republicans who ultimately endorsed Trump. Maybe it was felt to be toxic enough that they needed disassociate themselves from the tape at least.
the chief enabler of BC,
The election is over, DJT is sworn in. Why the continuing need to slander HRC?

Agreed. Besides, those vulgar, embarrassing celebrities are not running for the highest office of the land, unlike the vulgar, embarrassing celebrity who is now our president. Both are bad, but imo it’s especially bad when you are running for president.
IMO what is worse is that so many among those who are not themselves embarrassingly vulgar, appear willing to overlook the abject vulgarity of DJT.

There have been a number of events and presentation I have observed about “real men.” Apparently from observing several of these is that they were not all in agreement in their Usage of the phrase “real man” and what is necessary for someone to qualify as such. A person would be labeled as being a real man or not a real man based on his responses to criticisms, invitations to participate in a fight, how he treats women, so on. How the phrase was used and who was included or excluded was more an expression of cultural identity , views, and values, not of age and biology. Having a penis and being above a certain age would does not alone qualify someone as being a real man by all of these groups.

Similarly I think the title “Women’s March” is emblematic of a collection of values, views, and cultural identity. It might also be considered idiomatic.
It was clearly an ideological assault, complete with Feminist Icon, Gloria Steinem. Who said, “A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.”

The title was a subset of a subset.

The objection over the language was brought up over and over in the media and on these forums.

The objection wasn’t merely over the language, but the fact that he boasted about committing sexual assault.

And he apologized, did he not?

It seems that unlike our Lord’s command to forgive 70 x 7, there are some who can’t find it in their hearts to forgive even once. . .(not directed at you personally, Grace).

Yes, I realize that. The left keeps leaving out the language part now. I was on these forums when Trump was vilified and called horrible names for using that term for female genitalia .

And he apologized, did he not?

He said he regretted the language, and then attempted to dismiss it as locker room talk. He didn’t apologize for committing sexual assault; denied that he did it, in fact.

I agree wholeheartedly. With that in mind, though, I would like to add a brief (ish), conjectural cause to the objectification of women in the past fifty years. (You’ve been on this forum long enough; you know where this is going.)

Contraception brought with it a mindset that sex is for pleasure alone, rather than for an intimate union between two persons potentially producing a third. As such, the contraceptive mindset views the other person as an object, rather than as another human, so the idea of roles and complementarity is thrown out the window and replaced with one of “how much pleasure can I get out of this person?” As such, men have fewer incentives to act properly with women in general.

Obviously, this is not an excuse. This is an explanation. But it does suggest a course of action: destroy the contraceptive mindset.

:twocents:
The contraceptive mindset has been marketed by the media for decades. And makers of contraceptives have to move product and make money.

The key question for everyone reading this (including myself) is : “Who decides when I want to have sex?” The Church? The State? No. You do.

YOU DO.

Check with the CDC. There is an STD epidemic going on. Why? Sex with anyone and it doesn’t matter if you know their name.

If you cannot decide to control yourself. Or think it’s impossible. You’re not using proper judgment. May I politely suggest that self-control is a good thing?

God forgives (and so do I) when a person shows repentance. Trump has not shown any sign of repenting for the sexual assaults he bragged about committing.

It’s like when my brother physically assaulted me, and after I estranged myself from my family because of it my mother asked why I couldn’t just get over it.

He said he regretted the language, and then attempted to dismiss it as locker room talk. He didn’t apologize for committing sexual assault; denied that he did it, in fact.
I am a committed but lousy Cathoilc who voted for him. Here’s the rub: he says and may even believe despicable things but his platform and the policies he says he will endorse either align with my morals or are debatable enough so as not to be abjectly immoral. Now there were and are other democrats who I find eminently more publicly likable than Trump but their policies are abhorrent to me, their platform an affront.

So I ask myself, is Trump going to be able to codify legal sexual assault? Is he going to stand up at press conferences and degrade women without consequence? No. So would I rather vote a boar with agreeable policies or, assuming the dems had not nominated Secretary Clinton, a likable person with disgusting policies? In any case the answer to me is clear. Uneasy, unpleasant and vomit inducing. But clear.

So it’s okay with you if people normally dismiss women’s arguments because they must simply be “PMSing”? 'Cause* that’s* piggish.

There is no hypocrisy. The pearl-clutching seems to be coming from the other side. I find it really sad and disturbing that pro-life women were barred from participating in this march. I think any violence enacted during it was immature and reprehensible. I believe men who talk about “grabbing p***y” are disgusting and I think women who shut down fellow women by claiming they’re just menstruating are cringe-worthy.
Ahh,thank you for making my point.Yes it is disgusting that men may talk this way. However,if any of these women ,marching en masses for equal rights and respect, talk in just as filthy a manner, name their headgear after the filthy name that offends them, what other conclusion is there to be made about them?

Yet they were calling these hats the vulgar name for a woman’s genitalia.A play n words thus the cat ears.
