Talking about left satire and political comedy, people on the left often think that those on the right have no sense of humor, while people on the right believe the same thing about those on the left. The truth is that neither those people on the far-left nor those on the far-right are likely to have much of a sense of humor since they are too busy fighting in earnest for their political causes. Their seriousness often precludes a sense of humor. (Not all, of course.)Just from general observation it appears the left has dominated the landscape (at least in a broader spectrum) more than the conservative voice;

Yes. That makes sense.Talking about left satire and political comedy, people on the left often think that those on the right have no sense of humor, while people on the right believe the same thing about those on the left. One major party does have a pro-death penalty platform and it’s not the one which CAF members call the pro-death one.One difference is that neither party has a pro-fascist platform, but one does have a pro-abortion platform.
I’ve never understood people that can’t make a moral distinction between the non-judicial killing of an innocent child with the judicial execution of a convicted murderer after numerous appeals and legal counsel.One major party does have a pro-death penalty platform and it’s not the one which CAF members call the pro-death one.
I think the catechism makes the distinction clear. But still affirms the sanctity of life.I’ve never understood people that can’t make a moral distinction between the non-judicial killing of an innocent child with the judicial execution of a convicted murderer after numerous appeals and legal counsel.
Not saying there are not biases’ on the right,however considering the media as a whole,the biases’ clearly would lean in favor of the left as there are disproportionately more left leaning news outlets,
I think you may be surprised to realize that the media is centrist, and your perception of what is left/right has shifted as society has progressed.
All the bigger news outlets are left leaning, giving out news from their perspective and if need be, they will certainly lie about it. Thus the fake news.
It is difficult to find news outlets that do not spew out bias with their reporting. Sometimes it is better to watch foreign news channels, at least there is less interest in being partisan in local US politic.
But left leaning bias sells more than just the dull truthful objective news, probably that is the big motivating factor.
Nevertheless they hate Trump and their reporting biased against him.I think you may be surprised to realize that the media is centrist, and your perception of what is left/right has shifted as society has progressed.
Most of the media is not centrist. Polls of journalists themselves consistently show this. The Overton Window has shifted left wards as the West ‘progressed.’I think you may be surprised to realize that the media is centrist, and your perception of what is left/right has shifted as society has progressed.
With heavier weight on the radio since much of it is with reaction from the audience.Just from general observation it appears the left has dominated the landscape (at least in a broader spectrum) more than the conservative voice;

Yes. I would agree talk radio can be more interactive with the audience.With heavier weight on the radio since much of it is with reaction from the audience.
Biased huh? A year ago Rush hated Trump (I only wish I had recorded some of the things he said) as did many Republicans. As did many CAF “right” leaning members. Has Trump changed his character? It seems if anything his character has been magnified a hundred fold. And not only in this country.Nevertheless they hate Trump and their reporting biased against him.
I do remember all off that and as the scramble is on for how to cover him, Trump keeps being Trump and winning! I feel he is breaking new ground and the media will come along or get left behind. I believe we are witnessing history being made!Biased huh? A year ago Rush hated Trump (I only wish I had recorded some of the things he said) as did many Republicans. I have said all along Trump was my very last choice for a candidate.I know others’ here n CAF and in general held the same feeling.Biased huh? No, not his character *that changed) but what he stand for; in this case, against abortion. I did not follow him, I am not much a political person, I only post in this segment of the Forum out of curiosity to hear and discuss about his Presidency.Biased huh? Unborn children in the womb don’t count.One major party does have a pro-death penalty platform and it’s not the one which CAF members call the pro-death one.
The Democratic Party platform called for the abolishment of the state playing God and putting people to death. Describing it as cruel and unusual punishment with no place in a country such as the United States.
The Catholic Church teaches if non-lethal means are sufficient to defend and protect people’s safety from the aggressor, authority will limit itself to such means, as these are more in keeping with the concrete conditions of the common good and are more in conformity to the dignity of the human person.
In fact the Catholic Church goes on to say, "Today, in fact, as a consequence of the possibilities which the state has for effectively preventing crime, by rendering one who has committed an offense incapable of doing harm - without definitely taking away from him the possibility of redeeming himself - the cases in which the execution of the offender is an absolute necessity “are very rare, if not practically non-existent.” (CCC 2267)
The Republican Party otoh for it’s part condemns the erosion of states being able to enact the death penalty.

Senator McCain made his remarks critical of President Trump in Germany which does not have free speech or freedom of the press.(CNN)Sen. John McCain slammed President Donald Trump’s attacks on the media this week by noting dictators “get started by suppressing free press.”
It was a startling observation from a sitting member of Congress against the President of the United States, especially considering McCain is a member of Trump’s party.
The AZ senator said, “If you want to preserve – I’m very serious now – if you want to preserve democracy as we know it, you have to have a free and many times adversarial press. And without it, I am afraid that we would lose so much of our individual liberties over time. That’s how dictators get started.”
The 2008 Republican presidential nominee said Americans must pay attention to history to understand the past connections between leaders of oppressive governments and efforts to stifle the media.
“They get started by suppressing free press, in other words, a consolidation of power – when you look at history, the first thing that dictators do is shut down the press,” McCain said. “And I’m not saying that President Trump is trying to be a dictator. I’m just saying we need to learn the lessons of history.”
Trump tweeted Friday that media outlets were “the enemy of the American people”.

The United States of America is a Republic.How many times do we have to keep going over this?
Yes the people spoke and 54% spoke against Donald Trump as the media more or less predicted the popular vote to be. And being wrong in a few states such as PA, MI, and WI out of 50 states, hardly constitutes being 100% wrong. But feel free to keep believing that. Democrats believed they had a lock on the EC too. Don’t get too overconfident with 1% wins in a few states. Pendulums swing.
I was thinking of something like ‘The View’ and some others, however, those 3 people you mention I think are alright, but even with them and CNN it’s often very stacked against them I think.CNN’s discussion panels frequently have Trump supporters. Jeffrey Lord and Kayleigh McEnany and Paris Dennard are faces that come to my mind right away.
