Even though the desire is not a choice, the actions are.Touchy subject. Could you please tell me your opinion? Is homosexuality a choice or is it something you are born to be?

Gay means happy and happy means gay?My only question is, will they change the name of the happy meal??

According to McDonald’s CEO Jim Skinner, McDonald’s will aggressively promote the homosexual agenda. In remarks on McDonald’s Web site concerning the company becoming a member of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), Skinner wrote: "Being a socially responsible organization is a fundamental part of who we are. We have an obligation to use our size and resources to make a difference in the world … and we do."
Don’t you realize that’s ‘hate speech?’Wow, when ever I see a thread on the topic of homosexuality, I am amazed at how many posters defend this perversion and make apologies for it, mainly posts from USA.
Has the homosexual agenda grabbed so tight in the USA that even its stench has permeated the minds of otherwise intelligent and moral Catholics?
Yes we all agree on the teachings as per the CCC but we don’t lie down and allow perversions to become acceptable behaviour, we have a duty to proclaim the truth!
Note McDonald’s statement:
Joe…you do realize that the first part you bolded is not a McDonald’s statement, it is the writing of the “journalist.” I don’t see anything in the second bolded part, the quote of the CEO, that is indicative of “aggressively promoting the homosexual agenda.”According to McDonald’s CEO Jim Skinner, McDonald’s will aggressively promote the homosexual agenda. oh no!Say it isn’t so…first Starbucks…now Mickey D’s!
I guess I should sell my house and look for a cave to live in and cook over an open fire. There is no place left for me to go…I can’t bank because the bank manager is homosexual, I can’t shop at the grocery store, because the cashier is homosexual, I can’t buy a home because the corporate real estate office has 4 homosexual agents…where does the madness end???
This is ridiculas…Homophobia rears it’s ugly head every once in awhile on CAF.
I will shop where I want, eat and drink what I want, when I want with whom I want. I live in a neighborhood where there are 4 homosexual couples. They are my neighbors. They have no “agenda”. The go to work, pay taxes and contribute to the community.

Something you were born with.Touchy subject. Could you please tell me your opinion? Is homosexuality a choice or is it something you are born to be?
Stars?![]()
Oh! I so needed this laugh tonight!!! Thanks Julianna!
always good to see you come on.
Me thinks some would like to us to have all gays sew stars on thier jackets so we know them.![]()
I used to think that, until my lesbian neighbor told me “no, it’s a choice.” If homosexuals themselves can’t agree, who am I to make a definitive determination?Something you were born with.
I had a gay friend tell me once that figuring out you are gay is the most horrifying experience for a young person. The pain they under go is more than any young person should have to endure. He told me once “do you honestly believe we would choose this sort of pain and shame? Who in thier right mind would want to ever be in this horrible condition?” The mocking and discrimantion they go through is very real, no one would want to choose that. He died later of AIDS. God rest is soul.I used to think that, until my lesbian neighbor told me “no, it’s a choice.” If homosexuals themselves can’t agree, who am I to make a definitive determination?![]()
How very charitable of you. How dare you tell a gay person whether it is a choice or they are born with it!! Do you think she doesn’t know what her own experience is?I had a gay friend tell me once that figuring out you are gay is the most horrifying experience for a young person. Your lesbian neighbor is wrong and filling you full of rubbish. Just my opinion.
I don’t understand how people can’t just accept the idea that it’s a little of both. How very charitable of you. How dare you tell a gay person whether it is a choice or they are born with it!! Do you think she doesn’t know what her own experience is?![]()
whoa, didn’t mean to upset you my friend. I don’t believe it is a choice. I’m sorry. I never will. I’ve know too many gays and I know what they go through. I watch two die from AIDS. I would say some out of rebellion might try it and pretend they are for a while but they are not fully gay.How very charitable of you. Exactly. You have summed up my personal views on the situation. I also believe it is completely plausible that the attractions people have, regardless of their origins, may be on a spectrum of sorts. Based on where someone is on that spectrum, they sometimes identify themselves as gay or bi-sexual (because they genuinely feel both).I don’t understand how people can’t just accept the idea that it’s a little of both.
There are studies that show both ways, that upbringing and cause it, and some that say certain combinations of genes, etc, contribute. Like everything else in life I suspect it is grey, a little bit of both.
NO studies on either side have every shown a 100% correlation, and no treatment plans have every had a 100% cure rate. That just screams to me that just like everything else in this fallen world that it’s a grey murky mixture of many things combined together.
Some people may choose to be gay, some may have been born that way. Why does it have to be all or nothing? What other conditions, mental or genetic, are all or nothing? I can’t think of that many, you almost never have a 100% of getting something your parents have had medical wise, or mental health wise.
