You know, I am wondering where that “list” is of banned establishments that self righteous often quote. It doesn’t exist because, yes, a cave would be the only place left to go…unless of course a homosexual owns the land.

It is hard to believe that folks stay up day and night and think on this. When do they have time to “enjoy” the life that was given them? How sad. Makes me enjoy working for Uncle Sam, because that kind of talk and hate speech and preaching is not allowed during working hours, neither is discussion of politics and candidates. (aka the Hatch Act)

CAF made a wise choice to ban the latter.

What is the “good news” Catholics offer one another and the community?

I like Mickey D’s. I like the fries. I will go there, I will eat there. I take my grand daughter there, period.

It’s their business and between them and God. I just don’t see why everybody has to have all of these agendas rubbed in their faces. Under “About” NGLCC, one of their 6 goals is to:
Stay on the forefront of legislative issues and provide strong lobbying efforts for LGBT business causes and nondiscriminatory affairs.

It’s a little naive to think that a gay business network is not going to use its influence to push for gay “marriage” and other such things, just as it would be naive to be surprised if a Catholic business network were to make contributions to pro-Life organizations such as crisis pregnancy centers.

The way I see it, they have a right to lobby for whatever they want. But maybe we shouldn’t chip in if we can avoid doing so.

I say go to Wendy’s! Dave was an out-of-the-closet Christian, and there are signs in my local Wendy’s that advertise the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption - "raising awareness and educating prospective parents on the adoption process."

To the guy who thinks gays don’t advocate abortion: Do lesbians generally think abortion should be illegal? Has there ever been a pro-Life float in the gay pride parade? (uh, No. and No.)

We mustn’t be mean to gays, and most of us are not, but sometimes it is appropriate to express a preference. Last time I was there, a 6-foot-2 transvestite was cleaning the lobby at the McDonald’s in Ballard (Seattle). Does he have a right to work? Of course! But do you really want to have to explain drag queens to your 5-year-old at McDonald’s? Hence, it is sometimes appropriate to choose a different restaurant with the specific intention to avoid such a situation.

“Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Let’s help Him out, eh?

In thinking this one through a little more–it could be as simple as McDonald’s wanting to appear tolerant, and equitable to all people…and there is truly nothing wrong with that. Ever employer should be EO and this could just be McDonald’s way of demonstrating that they want people to know …‘we don’t discriminate against homosexuals.’ Doesn’t mean they are advocates for the gay and lesbian ‘agenda,’ but more that they want to show that they do not discriminate. I know answers will be to this…‘why would they go this far, then. There are other ways to demonstrate this.’ My answer to that is…‘This makes it more clear.’

Also…big Fortune 500 companies…publically traded companies…it’s not always what it seems. It could just be to get their name out there–free advertising …MORE SALES FOR THEM, PEEPS! That crossed my mind, as well.

There is a lot of people who are very weak in thier faith which causes fear, iIgnorant as well which leads to intolerance. Like I said earlier, no room in the Church for bigots.

I’m going to Wendy’s! That little picture of Wendy is cuter and a lot less creepy and gender-confused than Ronald McDonald. Seriously, has anybody taken a good look at that clown lately? Is it just me or does he frequently look kinda womanly? Some kids fear clowns. And maybe that’s a good thing!

I feel the late Dave Thomas’ organization, Wendy’s, is a more positive force in the world, because they very actively promote adoption, and I suspect they probably understand that people like me probably wouldn’t get to heaven had it not been for courageous Christians who, risking the dreaded and widely misused “bigot” label, told me about the teachings of Jesus Christ, Who I do feel saved my life more than once.

The one thing that I want to add is that it is so nice that McDonald’s is all sensitive to these “politically correct” agendas. However, I want to ask, how about the way they treat their own low level employees? It’s been quite a few years since that time, but I found that working at a “fast food” restaurant to be a humiliating, demeaning, and very low paying job. The managers treat the workers like absolute garbage! No matter how good a job one of these low level workers does, there almost never are any salary raises. The management talks to these workers using the most vile, vulgar language imaginable. The worker shows up at his or her job at the assigned hour, and the manager will tell them to wait a while before “clocking in” until the place gets busy. These managers tell the workers to “clock out” and leave early, before their assigned shift ends, in order for this “fast food joint” to reap a greater profit. Yet, this evil business is showing “sensitivity” to the “gay” agenda. How heart warming.

Any “paranoia” you see in me or anybody who is distressed by McDonalds’ actions flows from that simple fact, and His revelation which He has given to us.

Because ‘the cause’ will speak for McDonald’s for its contributions, and hundreds of thousands of dollars is really nothing, when it comes to true advertising. McDonald’s spends millions on tv campaigns…this gives them more for their money. Just a thought…I am not their spokesperson, I’m taking a guess.
