Twitter is private property. They are not obligated to carry messages that they don’t wish to display.Actually Twitter are on the left and censor the right.

What about pornography which the Catechism says we should work to ban. And obscenity laws? I think one can be a conservative and be for those things. But that’s a topic for another thread.Anyone on the right who agrees with censorship are not a conservative in my opinion and are just part of the global elite that real conservatives despise.
I see your logic but don’t think it matches the present reality.Protests, however, are a very logical response to a system that is otherwise unresponsive to previous complaints and calls for reform.
I don’t understand what your point is? All i said is that Twitter censor those on the right, not that they don’t have a right to do it. My point is that the left today censor those they don’t agree with ESPECIALLY religionPaddy1989:

Thanks for clarifying. Lately I’ve heard more people say Twitter and the like should be… not controlled, but the rhetoric is a bit much.I don’t understand what your point is? Censorship should and does exist for certain things however the discussion to even engage in debate is what is being censored. For example when you have leftists claim what the right is saying is akin to violence to justify violence themselves or when in Universities they shout and howl down political speakers on the right to drown out ANY discussion what so ever all it does is kind of expose these people as childish, don’t you agree.JoeFreedom:

Ok, Twitter are their own organization, they make the rules and can tolerate what they like, my advice to those on the right or ANYONE who doesn’t attach themselves to left wing views is detach themselves from it UNLESS they are using Twitter as a vehicle to evangelize. At the end of the day we need to meet the non-religious where they are comfortablePaddy1989:

Personally, I think Twitter and FB, etc., ought to be considered more like radio stations. We (the US) originally built the internet as a way for the military to communicate, and then we opened it up to the world.Lately I’ve heard more people say Twitter and the like should be… not controlled,
Yes but that also brings up issue of property rights. Even libertarians believe in homesteading radio frequencies and the like.Personally, I think Twitter and FB, etc., ought to be considered more like radio stations. Any censorship on the part of Twitter, Facebook, etc., is against conservative, pro-life, or traditional religious ideas. I don’t know of anyone on the right trying to restrict speech from left of center. The right with Twitter and other things, the left with social pressure and political correctness.
I am a distributist as well.Well, I’m a distributist, not a libertarian, so I vote for treating them like radio stations used to be treated
That is your opinion. It is the right I always here decrying fake news and mainstream media when it disagrees. The left is worse than the right bevause the left are trying to censor anyone who doesn’t agree with them.
And wasn’t it Trump who very recently was seeking to dictate to Twitter in terms of what it does to his own tweets? Isn’t that itself an attemot at censorship?Paddy1989:
