Thanks, I needed a good laugh! Not only is that guy unable to distinguish between a Trilby and a Fedora, his only picture of a Fedora is his example of what looks good. Very funny indeed!
 
Okay - - good to know the trilby - vs- fedora difference. However, I guess what looks bad is when people (men) wear old-fashioned hats with modern casual clothing - - that is what looks so awful. And yet, if men wear the hats with the right old-fashioned clothing, then they look costume-y (at least they do to me).
 
far too many times, i’ve seen overweight middle-aged males in church with short pants (cargo style, usually) their hairy legs and naked smelly feet exposed in flip-flops

once the weather gets above 55 or 60 F ; this is, unfortunately, a common sight sight in my parish

I guess they could also be used for purses, but I mainly recall men hanging their hats on them.
 
Ha! I’ve always wondered what those were for.

In the parishes I’ve seen, they now hold laminated worship aids
 
Actually, it closed. It was a Hungarian Ethnic Church. However, I believe a few sticks have them.
