One wonders what in the world you are talking about? Jesus is already in heaven, and came down from heaven when He came to earth. What is not good is to have misunderstanding and then think one knows what one is talking about.

My hope is that people go to primary sources to really research a subject before assuming they are an expert about the subject.
 
God the Father has relatives and this is explained by the doctrine of infinite regression of the gods who initially were mortal (cf. TPJS, p. 373). God the Father has a wife, the Heavenly Mother, with whom he shares the responsibility of creation. They procreate sons in the spiritual world. The Son and the Holy Spirit were procreated after the beginning of the creation of the world known to us (cf. EM, Vol. 2, p. 961). Four gods are directly responsible for the universe, three of whom have established a covenant and thus form the divinity.

I confess to not knowing a whole lot about Mormonism, but this is REALLY ‘out there’!!! Is this a true Mormon belief?!? :eek:
 
As a former Mormon, I can tell you these doctrines are true. However, you only become a God if you are married in the Mormon Temple using Masonic rituals.

:DDear Parker I studyed with these people and i also have their book, I know what i have read and what i am talking about. You peolpe have changed your book quite alot I think you go to houses just to find out what people realy think and why they wont join the church and you document it so you can change things that people might be offended with. My granddaughter lives in Utah and she is a Mormon and I do have friends that are Mormon so dont tell me i am under any assumption. I kept all the papers they handed out to me and one shows that jesus is in the heavens but not with the Father. Would you care to elaborate on this??

Good morning. I was only trying to point out that perhaps you have misunderstood what you may have either read or heard. I still don’t understand what it is you have had handed to you that shows Jesus “is in the heavens but not with the Father.”

Perhaps it is a diagram explaining the “three degrees of glory”. If so, then what the diagram was attempting to explain was a simple depiction of a “celestial glory” where the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit all dwell with those who become One with them through their desires being like unto God’s desires because they are able to learn to be “like Christ”. Then, secondly, it may be depicting a “terrestrial glory” where the Son, Jesus Christ, visits from time to time to give His loving presence to those resurrected people who had desires that led them to do many good things in their lives and not to break the Ten Commandments, but who did not seek to enter into the kind of covenant relationship with God the Father and Jesus Christ whereby it was known and understood by all that they had desires like unto God’s desires. Christ may have been shown in the diagram as being with those people in the “terrestrial glory”, but the expression was to show that those people receive Christ’s presence from time to time, not that He lives there in eternity.

Such a diagram may also have shown the “Holy Spirit” or “Holy Ghost” being with the people who receive “telestial glory”, meaning that they qualify through their repentance in the spirit world from breaking some of the Ten Commandments during their lives without repenting during life, to have the presence of the “Holy Spirit” for eternity to comfort and guide and bless them with a measure of peace and joy (as much as they qualified themselves to receive). The Holy Spirit brings His influence to all three degrees of glory, but dwells in Person with God the Father.

I doubt it, since she said she was looking at LDS sources, and that is clearly (at least clear to me) not coming from an LDS source nor is it correctly depicting LDS beliefs.

And WE say that anyone who has that work done for them is absolutely free to say 'no thank you." Their choice, absolutely. If we thought that there was any element of coercion in it whatsoever, we would stop. There is no religion in the planet that believes in free will as much as we do, and WE don’t believe that free will is taken from you when you die.

That is the chart and it shows Jesus not being with the Father or did you change that to? According to you there are 3 heavens and degrees You also claim the spirits recieve natural bodies(D&C 88:28) Those entering celestial kingdom are given white stones with new names. Did you know Joseph Smith used white stones in his rituals? it is an ancient ritual from Babalonian empire, did you know most of your people are Masons? also you follow the steps of masonary and you have all the symbolism as the mason on your buildings I have lots of pictures of the Temple in Utah it is very big with beehive and eye and stars and fertility god etc. I know you don’t practice phligomy but some say they are waiting for it to come back and that you can have many wifes in the celestials and produce children to. Most of these are NOT official teachings of the church and never have been to my knowledge. They are tales drawn loosely from comments made from church leaders in the 19th century. Reminds me of some of the things people say about the Catholic church such as worshiping Mary, selling of indulgences for money to build cathedrals, etc, etc.

:DYou may not be so lucky but i hope you are still happy??😛 We are not the only people who think like this Go to the other churches and ask, and they will tell you the same. The ones who join your gruops are lonely house mouses, and are may be looking for someone to marry also. I know the men are very friendly there, did i say very friendly there? To be more precise, you can only become a God after being eternally married (“sealed”) and being Endowed in the temple, as well as doing all the other ordinances prior to that (baptism, confirmation, priesthood for males, etc), and living the covenants that you made.

I actually just bought a new book (came out last week I believe) on Mormons and Masons. Should be interesting.

I’m curious - which of the items on the list are true? (I honestly don’t know much about Mormons so I would appreciate a serious response. 🙂 )
