Hi

This is no mentioned in Quran, might be somebody’s misconception. Please quote from Quran.

Thanks
Where in Holy Scripture or the teachings and traditions of the Apostles does it state that a Prophet would come after Christ?

This question could equally be applied to LDS, JW and SDA

Our bible shows a line of leader/prophets/kings coming to the peoples that we now call Hebrews.

God promised to them a Messiah.

Although many of them rejected Jesus as their Messiah, Muhammed came along with no convenant to them and proclaim a messenger to them, the Arabs.

Why did God change his mind and give up on one people, and go start sending prophets to the Arabs?

Good question! 👍

Now let’s wait for a good anser!

God is not fickle unlike humans. Look at the many times that the Hebrews broke their vows to God, and he still didn’t abandon them. God never broke his covenant with not even after the golden calf incident. Jesus didn’t abandon his apostles even after they ran away and left him to face his torments alone.

Claiming that Muslims are now the chosen people is just another of the many myths of Islam and one that sets them as “masters of the world” as we’re seeing every day in their dealings with others. It’s the same as proclaiming that Islam is a universal religion. I don’t think for one minute that Muhammad ever meant that. He meant it for Arabia, but after Muslims started attacking and conquering other areas with the sword and conducted their usual “legitimate” business of looting, raiding, raping and so on that Islam became “universal”.

And now they expect everyone to embrace their ridiculous and nonsensical beliefs! The more I read about the things that Muhammad said, the more I wonder how anyone can call Islam a “great” religion!

Hi
As requested by you I start giving some prophecies about Muhammad in the Bible, one will understand if one is research minded and unbiased. The prophecies have been taken from the book “INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY OF THE HOLY QURAN “by Mirza Mahmood Ahmad, son of the Promised Messiah 1835-1908.

THE PROPHECY IN DEUTERONOMY
When Moses went to Mount Horeb under the command of
God, he addressed the Israelites saying :
The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the
midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me ; unto him ye shall
hearken (Deuteronomy 18 : 15).
God spoke to Moses saying :

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like
unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth ; and he shall
speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall
come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words
which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my
name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall
speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die
(Deuteronomy 18 : 18-20).

From these passages it is evident that Moses prophesied about
a Law-giving Prophet who was to appear after him, and who
was to be from among the brethren of Israel.
'That he was to be a Law-giver, and not an ordinary Prophet
is obvious from the words “like unto Moses”. As Moses was
a Law-giver, the Prophet, who was to be like Moses, was also
to be a Law-giver.

The Promised Prophet is described as one
who “shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.”
From this also it appears that the Promised Prophet was to be
a Law-giving Prophet. The promulgation of a new Law means
the initiation of a new movement, a new nation. A Prophet
who promulgates a new Law, therefore, is no ordinary Teacher
or Reformer. He has to present a comprehensive teaching,
incorporating fundamental principles as well as detailed rules.
Without it a new nation cannot be raised. But a Prophet who
does not bring a new Law has only to explain and to annotate
an already existing Law.

It is not necessary for him to present
all that he receives from God to his people. It is possible that
some of his revelations may be meant only for his personal
edification, which he is under no obligation to pass on to his
people. The prophecy also lays down that the Promised
Prophet will “speak in my name”, and those who will not listen
to him, God will “require it” of them ; that is, those who turn
a deaf ear will incur punishment. We are also told that any
one who pretends to fulfil the prophecy will be put to death.
If. we keep in view all the terms of the prophecy, we are
bound to conclude that until at least the time of Jesus no
Prophet had appeared in the world who could be said to have
answered to the description of the Promised Prophet.

All the
Prophets who appeared between Moses and Jesus, therefore,
may be ignored, when we set out in search of the Prophet who
could be said to have fulfilled this prophecy. They have left
no following and no people who could espouse their claims.
Only Jesus remains who has a large following, and who is
regarded by his followers as the last Teacher sent by God into
this world. But when we apply, one by one, the terms of the
prophecy to Jesus, we find that not one of them applies to him :

First, the Promised Prophet was to be a Law-giving Prophet.
Was Jesus a Law-giver ? Did he bring a new Law into the
world to replace an old one ? Jesus said clearly :
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets :
I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto
you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in
no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled (Matthew 5 :
17-18).

Muhammad could not be the foretold prophet of Deuteronomy 18.15 - 18.16 for the simple fact that no descendants of Ishmael were in Horeb on the day of the assembly, only the Hebrews from the House of Israel were. The words of “according to all that you desired of Jehovah your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly” effectively confirms that Moses was speaking only to the descendants of Isaac, of the House of Israel, since they were the only ones in Horeb on the day of the assembly.

For the complete rebuttal see here.

Actually my question would be: if there was an “uncorrupt” Bible during Muhammad’s time, where on earth is it? did it disappear from our planet?🙂

And Khalfan, didn’t i ask you to provide me with all the “disputed” passages in the Bible that are “thought” to be “insertions”? why don’t you list them all and let’s see if they change any Christian doctrine?

and don’t you understand by now that missing passages in some manuscripts when they are found in other manuscripts AND more importantly in our tradition, means nothing more than uncomplete manuscripts?

so Khalfan, shoot me with all the verses that are insertions and let’s start without them to see what “dramatic” change they will produce 🙂

As to the good news, which means Injeel, it is not a book. It is preaching about Jesus’ salvation. Surely the good news is not that Allah is One 🙂 This preaching of Jesus’ salvation is written down by many (more than 1), considered as One gospel of Jesus from different testimonies.

Claiming that Muslims are now the chosen people is just another of the many myths of Islam …

In the past, I’ve asked Moslems to show me where God made a covenant for such ‘prophets’ with the line of Arabs (from Ishmael - which is itself problematic as not all Arabs are from him)

There is something i dont really get with the whole Mohammed was ‘predicted to come’ thing in the old testament…
First thing, Jesus was sent after the old testament, which in turn, creates the new testament… no rocket science needed for that one.
Well, Muslims say the bible is corrupted and say Jesus was just a prophet…
My question is, why would God send a prophet, in this case, its Jesus to spread the word of God when Mohammed was so called ‘prophesied to come’ before Jesus was actually born? Why wouldnt God just send Mohammed in place of Jesus to spread the word of Islam then?
Why would God have bothered with Jesus at all if this so called prophet called Mohammed was coming?

they argue that Jesus was a Moslem, and Moses too.

But this is contradicted by Muhammed who says

39:12
And I [Muhammad] am commanded to be the first of those who are muslims (surrender unto Him).

Yes i know, and the funny thing is, the bible clearly states they are Jews!

Also, note it’s Muhammed speaking about himself, but the Koran’s supposed to be the word of their god. So either Muhammed’s introduced his own words into the Koran, or al-lah’s speaking as if he’s Muhammed ?!?

Or the third option could be… and we all know who can appear as an angel if they wanted too dont we 😉

When a Muslim says Moses was a muslim, he is not using a capital m but a small m to mean : he surrendered to God.

When a Muslim says Moses was a muslim, he is not using a capital m but a small m to mean : he surrendered to God.
But that’s what a Moslem is; someone who’s surrendered to al-lah.

They believe Moses did so, because he had the same message from al-lah as the other messengers.

2:285
We make no distinction between any of His messengers.

Khalfan, we’re still waiting for those original manuscripts of the Quran you said you’d show us…

I’ve seen Moslems who argue that the Bible predicts Muhammed - they usually use reference to ‘the helper’, which as all Chrisitans know, is the Holy Spirit who came at Pentecost.

However, if Moslems use the Bible as ‘proofs’, then these verses should be ‘okay’ by them.

I wonder why no Moslem’s yet given me a list of which verses are approved
why should they
u can find 1 million ways to show why muslims are evil and wrong Montalban, it won’t change anybodies mind on becoming 1 or any muslims mind of leaving islam, if anything, it will only make them stronger, so u can continue to “wonder why no moslems” are answering your questions, does it really matter, if u could prove every muslim wrong on this site or on every forum on the internet, i’d be willing to bet that it would not make a dent or a scratch, in fact you’d probably draw more people to islam.
