Check out the book “Fertility, Cycles, and Nutrition” by Marilyn Shannon. She offers advice as to how changes in diet and vitamin supplements can help with the very problems you mention. No icky artificial hormones necessary! 👍

My SIL nearly died due to blood clots caused by the Pill. She was in the hospital when her daughter was only six months old. 😦
Yeah, I won’t be going back on the pill. I came off because of my blood pressure risk.

Well, thank goodness for that.

I can’t remember if you answered, but have you been to a crisis pregnancy center? They might know of more financial resources available to those in your situation. 🙂

According to the government I supposedly make enough money to support myself and my family. NOT.

Well, that wasn’t really my question… a CPC might know of private foundations or other sources of help for you (cheap daycares, etc.).

If your gross income is at or below $26,955 ($33,874 once the baby comes), you will qualify for WIC. Here is a link to Miami’s WIC program.

Besides the student loan payments, what other payments are hurting you?

There are a couple more side effects on contraception that I forgot to mention:
  • You can’t receive the Eucharist.
  • You can lead your spouse into mortal sin as well.

Well, they certainly don’t hear much about ther topic in Church. And this goes back a long ways.fifty years ago, priests were telling women in the confessional that the Church was about to change its teaching on birth control. The reaction to Humanaae Vitae in 1968, when even the bishops, of Canada refused to affirm Church teaching was an indication that, to use the phrase of Jacques Maritain, the Church was genuflecting to the World. Never mind that the document was prophetic: everything bad thing predicted has come to pass. Ironically, we don’t even have to use the natural law argument–no one gets it anyway–sociologically conta ception has don’t as much as anything to caused the distintegration of the traditional family and the repudiation of traditional sexual morality.
