I haven’t read all he responses, so forgive me if someone covered this. I assume your friend is black.

Tell him to read up on the Zanj rebellion. Wikipedia will do. Tell him to look up how many slaves were taken from East Africa by Muslims. Then ask him where the descendants of all those millions of slaves are today. Then ask him why the descendants of Africans enslaved by the Europeans number in the 10s of millions, but basically the same number of African slaves enslaved by Muslims have relatively few descendants–there are specific reasons for this. Then ask him if he has seen the youtube videos of female black Muslims from England talking about their experiences on the Hajj in Mecca–how they were called a certain word in Mecca, but never heard the word uttered in England. Ask him what the Lebanese call the Saudis. Ask him…well, I could go on and on. If he has the illusion that racial relations are better under Islam, he needs to read a few books.

I agree… that is not a friend. For some reason… people see Catholics as a free for all (perhaps because we are the largest religion). I know no one that would just go off on a muslim like that. (in a serious adult relationship). Free to criticize and abuse. I would never sit and tell my baptist friends that they just got on the boat 500 years ago… and what the heck did they believe before? Catholicism. I would like to know why supposed good muslims don’t publicly condemn the behaviors of the barbaric ones? The muslims in our country seem to have an agenda… and it is not to promote unity, it is to overtake.

You either need to report him to HR or quit complaining about it. Also, if you are discussing your religion in the workplace you are just as wrong as he is. It is inappropriate all the way around.

I’ve worked with lots of Muslim and have always been drawn to conversation. Really I think k they were drawn to me. I’m only 23 so maybe I come off as easy prey. The average age in my department is about 50. If you ask “what about radical muslims?” They will seem to condemn it. If you ask a more specific question like “what about that Christian journalist who was kidnapped by the leader of ISIS and made in to a sex slave?” The reply will be she should not be in their land in the first place. They are never totally non-radical. Never ever never. I do believe they believe in some good principles. But they do have an agenda and ALL of them want an ALL Muslim world and believe we are but a hindrance.

My advice is: Don’t encourage this guy. He sounds like an angry nut-job.

Haha we both do magic tricks, cards, coins and whatnot. We’ve discussed that the passed few days at work and have got along great.

We have lots of security and a stricter than school dress code. It would be difficult.

Broad brush you have there. Do not base your view of “all Muslims” based on the people you work with. Would you want them to judge all Christians on you?

The number of Muslims in the US who want to eradicate Christianity is a low fraction, probably lower than the fraction of Christians who want to eradicate Islam. (It is a low number on both sides, so it is hard to say; I know more Christians than Muslims, as well.)

If you pay attention to what they say, Muslims in the US do condemn those who do barbaric things. The truth is that many fled lands their families had been living in for hundreds of years for just that reason.

All muslims read the quran. The quran supports the ideas I said in my post. Therefore anyone you honor the quran honors those ideals. He was a warlord like someone said. They all support and Islamic state that would take over. The ones who don’t are at odds with their own religion and should consider something else.

Then why do they remain Muslim when they see what their people do? It’s not just some sect of this century. They have fought each other and us for 1,400 years. “My religion is bad, so I will go live with peaceful people of a different religion but still practice my own.” Haha

Most Catholics have read the bible from time to time but don’t honor every ideal it references.

Give me one ideal from the bible you don’t honor. I’ve honestly never met any Catholic who would agree with you.

And if “most Catholics” have read the bible from “time to time” why even be Catholic? Why read the book that tells our most early history? Wow. Just wow.

Maybe it is because there aren’t any religions or even any political systems that haven’t been used by someone as an excuse or a cover for criminal behavior.

The accusation of racism makes me wonder if your coworker is Black Muslim, which in the US is also a political movement, and one of its positions is that Africans were all Islam until Christianity was imposed on them by slave traders and owners. (Think Malcom X).

I don’t think that’s a position held by the Moslems who immigrate to US.

Funny. The Quran was written by a heretic to justify killing to force conversion.
