Muslim world inflamed by Rushdie knighthood

Islam dominated tyrannies have the death penalty for those who convert to Christianity. These tyrannies are ruled by clerics who put death sentences on artists like Rushdie or the director who was murdered. They incite murder of the Nun who was shot in the back after the Pope’s words were twisted by these clerics. The victims of their tyrannies–including all women so indoctrinated–seem nigh endless. The brutality of the taliban, the bigotry of Wahabbism.

If you know peaceful loving people who practice Islam, good for you. I hope you can bring them the truth of Jesus and make their lives richer for it, but this does not take awy the continuing dominance of Islamic hate that calls for anti semitism in the mainstream muslim world. The media presents the terrorists as radicals when in actuality, the people support them, support Hamas, support their murderous clerics whipping up crowd who now call for death for yet another artist.

His knighthood is for his work, I assume, just as McCartney’s. Will the Muslims once again resort to fear, murder and terror? The answer is yes.

This is a false religion spreading an evil false news: Jesus is not Lord. It is a heresy in need of conversion. The question is not how to appease it, but how to accomplish a loving conversion.

You mean for having someone write a book about him. Manson didn’t even write his own book. Helter Skelter was written by someone else. Got a better example. Maybe if Iran Knighted St. Paul posthumously or GK Chesterton. Then the Britixh could issue a fatwa and murder some Iranians.

Without reading all that, which links are the muslim leaders in Islamic states speaking out against the Fatwa advocating the murder of Rushdie?

The majority of those links are for terrorism in general and 9/11, and yet our mainstream media refused to report any of it, so what on earth makes you think the media will then report Muslims speaking out for Rushdie’s freedom of speech?

No religious leader is threatening you with death for speaking your mind or quoting your quotes. They are threatening Rushdie. That must have impressed the Queen. This isn’t about the media. This is about a man who religious leaders are telling their flocks to go out and murder because he said something the religious leaders don’t like. IMHO, you should be speaking out against the religious leaders instead of defending them.

And Buddhist dominated tyrannies had the death penalty for those who convert to other religions, and Catholic dominated tyrannies had the death penalty for those who convert to other religions, and Anglican dominated tyrannies had the death penalty for those who convert to other religions… this has been true of all ages when government gets mixed with religion.

Can you please provide me proof that the majority of Muslims support terrorism? And Gilliam has in the past posted some good news articles that showed how Al-Qaeda’s main targets are Muslim civilians. Not exactly a loving relationship, is it?

What work? You mean spitting in the face of Islam’s founder in an isolated passage of a really badly written novel? How on Earth is that considered worthy of knighthood? And the guy has gotten death threats, so now is the UK going to give knighthood to every man, woman, and child who has ever been given a death threat?

This is true of Judaism, of Buddhism, of Hinduism, of Scientology, are you going to say this of these religions also?

This is mostly one of the silliest statements I’ve read in a long long time. Buddhists are pacifists. Anglicans had a brief period in which they killed Catholics but for the most part the real killers are secular and Islamic tyrants.

You may mean well, but how can an argument be sustained when you just put down whatever comes to mind without any evidence?

Yes, many are, but you have obviously not read of ancient Buddhist nations. Did you know the Lamas of ancient Tibet were like the landlords of the dark ages and kept their subjects in complete poverty? Did you know that a Buddhist king in Sumatra, Adityavarman, in 1350 AD adopted a literal version of Tantric Buddhism and ordered his subjects to drink blood and eat each others flesh?

It might be because of:
Salman Rushdie has amassed for himself a fair number of distinctions over the years, among them the Booker of Bookers prize, the Whitbread novel award (twice), the James Tait Black memorial prize, and a fatwa from the Ayatollah Khomeini calling for his immediate assassination.

It’s horrifying that some of our citizens make such statements regardless of the fact that there is an ongoing effort to track him down. Try telling that to the SC National Guard regiment that left for Afghanistan last month.
