My child is being aborted

I am so sorry to hear this. I assume the baby has already been aborted. You have my tears of grief over this monstrosity. I am actually crying right now over this. :crying: I pray that God will have mercy on the baby’s soul.

Just in case you were wondering, you are not excommunicated because you were against the abortion. If your girlfriend is Catholic, she is excommunicated.

Again, crying because of this murder. :crying:

THIS IS SOMETHING THAT MUST CHANGE!!! If the father is willing to raise the child himself, then the woman should not be allowed to abort the child.

What I never understood is why women are allowed to murder, but men aren’t. Apparently, murder is a woman’s right, just so as long as the baby is living in a womb. I never understood why someone should be killed based on their place of residence.

I don’t know if my comments reflect a ‘theological discussion’ – but the question has been asked – when does a ‘fetus’ become a viable human being? When ever a heart beat can be heard - there is Proof of a human life. But that child is still growing – that child needs to protection of the expectant mother. Every once in a while there is a report of a ‘fetus’ that survived an abortion. And there are babies that are born " much ‘too early’. And That tells you something about a Life in utero.

And someone was asking – why didn’t God intervene and save that baby’s life. Well – God saw fit to ‘allow’ that life into heaven to be with Him. God has given people the freedom of choice – in this case He allowed the abortion and that child is in heaven.

The comment was made about a fetus not being a baby until there is conscienceness. Obviously that person has never been pregnant. On an ultrasound – a baby can be seen sucking it’s thumb. And there is a rythme of life / sleep cycles inside the womb.

The girlfriend made a decision – and, yes, she Will be living with that. But the lesson to b learned is to Wait until marriage for sex. And the guys – no matter What their age – should learn to be more responsible. So often They ‘get off the hook’ socially because They aren’t the one’s experiencing the pregnancy. Unless the baby looks just like his father and then the mother might have the option of moving away.

But – peace to both of them. They have been learning a lesson the Hard way.

I am so, so sorry for you. I have had to deal with the grief of two murdered babies, and though they were not mine, they were children of people I was very close to. One was almost 40 years ago, the other about 10. I am sickened to this day to think of those times and the impact it had on their mothers.

For myself, I found it helpful to do something concrete to commemorate the babies. We had a priest offer a special mass, and had a brass plaque engraved with the approximate conception date and the date of the murder. These days I highly suggest that you (when able) make a video for youtube to express the impact this abortion had on you. There are many girls on there that have such videos up under the title “I regret my abortion”, but there as with society in general there is little said about the impact of abortion on the fathers who have no say in the matter. My heart breaks for you. I cannot imagine the pain you are in because of this. I am so sorry, and I pray that this does not come to fruition. May you one day hold your child in your arms.

To others, I will say, this situation is the very reason why I do not have pre-marital sex. With all respect to Michael, I do not mean to tell him “I told you so.” That’s not my intent at all. I understand that he is human and life happens. We all make mistakes, some more severe than others, and for identical mistakes the consequences can be very disparate. However, I know that I do not want to find myself in the situation, so I will always attempt to be careful in this matters.

If God was really concerned about such things, why doesnt he do anything about them? That to me at least, this is a valid question, and proof if God exists, he has a different set of priorities to the one the church tell us he has.

What would you expect a God to “do”? We have free will - we are not living in a world run as a puppet-master runs a puppet show. Should God strike down on the spot each murderer, or render all would-be rapists impotent?

I note you show your religion as “undecided”. If you believe that your God must be one who intervenes routinely to stop wrong acts, and that by such intervention you can gauge what is important to God, then you will place quite some limitations on your choice of religions.

I would like to thank you all so very much. This morning at 8:15 a.m. my child was aborted. I know that my child is with Jesus in heaven and even though I am distraught and a complete emotional mess, I would still like to thank you all so much for your prayers and support.

God does everything for a reason. Even though I am mad at him right now and I do not understand, I know that there was a purpose and I will come to grow and come closer to him through this experience.

Please continue to pray for my child’s mother. Her name is Bryttani and even though she made the decision and seems to be doing alright with it, I know that it will hit her eventually. I pray that she will be ok in the future and she doesn’t live to completely regret this decision.
