A Boars head turkey sounds like a mutant pig/turkey :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
I had a slice of hot berry and custard strudel,now I have indigestion šŸ¤”:grimacing:Possibly it was potentially too nice for Lent,but now itā€™s evened up .
 
A nice salad, baked haddock, cheesy home fries, a fresh wheat roll, and a good IPA.
 
I enjoyed my dinner so much that I had to head on over to this thread.
A wonderful spinach, tomato and goats cheese tart, and a large salad with lots of different things in it. And white wine to go with. Now Iā€™m lazing on the couch watching a Poirot movie and enjoying more white wine. Feeling relaxed and content. šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚

Yes, but itā€™s the best turkey Iā€™ve eaten. I was doing so well too with my ā€œno meat during Lentā€ until my dr told me to get back on the meat. And yes, he knows Iā€™m Catholic. The Church says we must obey our drs. So I am. But Iā€™m not happy about it.

Had 2 Mountain Dew Baja Blasts after coming back in from what I hoped was going to be planting day. But I had to ā€œthoroughly wet the soil 24 hrs before planting.ā€

Stopped at Subway on the way home from the Vigil Massā€¦

Foot-long chicken-bacon-ranch on herbs-and-cheese bread with mushrooms, onions, spinach, tomatoes, and chipotle sauce, and a good IPA.
 
Moeā€™s tonight. Tacos, nachos and a Wrong Doug Stack.

Storming badly. Rain, thunder, lighting, wind, hail. Supposed to be worse tomorrow.šŸ˜±

Mama had her beloved Boost and MiO water to drink.

Salad, Penne pasta with tomato ā€œsauce,ā€ (gravy, if you are from NY or NJšŸ˜‰ ) meatballs and sausage. A glass of Pinot Grigio. Strawberry and banana trifle with whipped cream for dessert.

(First big Sunday dinner together since my son got out of the Marines. šŸ˜Š )

And a mug of black tea.
 
Moeā€™s leftovers. Intentional. Otherwise, Iā€™d have to scrounge around for something to put in the air fryer and cross my fingers it wouldnā€™t be storming when it was time to eat.
 
Beef tamales, rice, refried beans, tortillas, and a good IPAā€¦coconut butterscotch brownies for dessert.
 
Boldlygo, are there any bad IPAs, lol?

Those brownies sound delicious! Are they homemade?

Some of the extreme West Coast IPAā€™s taste like canned grapefruit juiceā€¦

The brownies are homemadeā€¦Iā€™m blessed to be married to a world-class bakerā€¦weā€™ve been married for 41 years as of last Sunday, and Iā€™ve had store-bought bread twiceā€¦
