I grew up on lamb ,chops in the pan,leg or shoulder slow roasted withvegetables in the woodstove ,served with gravy hot or mint sauce…or cold with tomato ketchup All home raised, but now lamb is so expensive here i dont buy it very often, and it doesnt taste as nice from the supermarket and butchers.
i think from growing up on a sheep farm and eating lamb most days back then ive never noticed a gamey flavour
My dad grew up similarly. He lived on a farm in Italy and had lamb frequently. My aunt prepared a very tasty lamb with parsley and garlic then roasted in a wood burning stove.
Stopped at Subway on the way home from the Vigil Mass…
Herbs and cheese foot-long: bacon, pepperjack cheese, onions, spinach, and chipotle sauce…added tomato at home. Salt-and-vinegar kettle chips and a good Canadian brew topped it off.
