Not really. Guacamole and hummus are both common spreads to use on veggie-based sandwiches.

Going solo hiking in the Guadalupe mountains this upcoming week after Easter Sunday. I got packed dried apricots, honey oat granola, and a jar of peanut butter.

We went out to a Mexican restaurant after Easter Mass this morning–not only is it Easter, it’s my husband’s birthday today. I had an omelette with lots of nice spicy salsa. And now I’m making my husband’s birthday cake.

For brunch today I made cheesy hash brown potatoes, plain bagels, and brown and serve sausage patties. 🐣 🐰

I’ll be making a lemon pound cake for our Easter dessert, and then I’ll be making our Easter dinner.

We’ll be eating later because of our brunch. 🙂

For dinner tonight we’ll be having oven-baked Black Forest ham, green beans, rice pilaf, and small green salads.

For the whole day, I’ve had 3 - 6" subs (turkey, beef and cold cuts), 1 bag of Lay’s Potato Chips, 1 Sprite and 1 bottle of Gatorade. May or may not have a second.

Need to be good. Tomorrow’s my pre-admission/pre-op testing.😱

Oven baked Virgina Ham, a green bean casserole, Waldorf Fruit Salad, and mashed potatoes.
Tomorrow will be split peas and ham soup along with leftovers.

We went to a Greek place for dinner. Had lamb chops, Greek salad, a chicken & rice soup, a bit of fried calamari, and some potatoes and other veggies. And some kind of honey cake for dessert. Mmm…

To drink I had iced tea in the morning, and ginger ale, coffee, and water in the afternoon/evening.

Nothing yet other than water with my morning meds. When I get back from the hospital later today (pre-registering and pre-op testing), I plan to have some sammies and Gatorade. But the hospital is across the street from Krispy Kreme…🤔😋

I had my usual breakfast: Oatmeal, with blueberries, 12-grain toast, orange juice, and green tea. And water and medicine.

Black bean & Sweet corn Pupusas.

My trip is delayed a day.

Back from my pre-registration and pre-op testing.

Ham, steak and club sandwiches with plain water to drink.

Sounds good, Lily! Glad the testing is over. 🙂

I love club sandwiches! And like you, I didn’t have a big meal yesterday. 😦

(Out of likes.)

I was going to leave if they didn’t hurry up because my friend had her own dr appt today and had to drive an hour to the county she lives in, switch cars (paper work was in the other car) and then go to her dr. She’s gone above and beyond the call of duty helping us out.

Unless something abnormal shows up in the EKG or blood work, I’m ready for surgery next week.

They say NPO after midnight. My dr changed it to 11pm. That’s ok because I don’t normally eat or drink anything after 7pm at the latest. I was told not to take my meds Monday morning. No nothing. Can’t even brush my teeth after 11pm. I am so going to wake up with morning breath. Good thing the drs will be wearing masks.😱

When I brush my teeth, I use Listerine. I don’t know about others, but I don’t wake up with morning breath when I use Listerine.

I hate it when doctors, dentists, etc. keep us waiting!

Wow. They don’t want anything in you before surgery, do they? I know people who have been able to take meds, but I think it’s best to be cautious. I know I don’t want to aspirate anything under anesthesia!

I will find out Friday morning if I need surgery. I hope not! It’s only pleasant when it’s over!

Good luck, Lily, and I will pray for you and your mama.

I ate a pudding cup for lunch. A chocolate pudding cup. Need to shop for food.
