Worst movie ever? My vote: Troll 2. Nothing se really even needs to be said than the title of the movie, it’s that awful:D

I love it when Bianca Jagger shows up as Farr’s arab sister. They’re both wearing these Middle Eastern getups as he comes up to her at their estate…

Bianca J says: **So you still intend to enter the race with the infidel Americans? **

Shiek (Farr) replies: **The Cannonball will fall to the forces of Islam! My dear sister! I swear it! **

I still think that is one of the most hilarious quotes in movie history…an arab so obsessed with winning a race that he thinks Allah and Islam are at stake! 😛
I seem to remember Jamie Farr dressed up like an Arab sheik …

My wife and I started watching syfy’s “hybrid”, the movie description should say it all

“A scientist replaces a blind man’s eyes with a wolf’s and everything goes horribly wrong”.

Yes, having your eyes replaces with a wolfs WILL give you wolf hearing, smell and let you leap down 30’, land on all fours and run off like that’s a normal thing to do. And it will make you incessently fantisies about buffalo.

Oh dude, I totally 100% MUST disagree…

I’m a tremendous Vincent fan. I have his autograph and have adored his movies since I was a kid. My family and friends all love him. He’s a horror icon and a very talented actor with a ton of class and great timing with tongue-and-cheek. He’s absolutely legendary to me…have to totally disagree…😦
This looks like fun:

My dad has always told me what films are accurate of pure boloney. He said that Platoon was nonsense, Apocalypse Now goofy, and a bunch of others. He said THE most accurate was “Full Metal Jacket” and actually “Good Morning, Vietnam.” He said his basic training experience was 100% like FMJ…so was 'Nam.

Braveheart has a mix of historical truth and boloney; that’s the problem. Mel Gibson has a regular theme in his movies of trashing the British and making the Catholics always the “good guys” :p…I was shocked he would play a Protestant in “the Patriot” 😛 My dad likes him in “We Were Soldiers,” another flick he said was fairly accurate…

I do like Braveheart. I love that part where the nasty old King played by Patrick McGoohan throws that young punk out of the tower. That was hysterical! I remember everyone in the theatre cracking up like crazy! That movie ticked everyone off from the British to gay rights groups to historians LOL…Gibson threw a lot of mythos onto Wallace I think…it was still a fun movie. I like the message and pace of it, good script, fun…

Mel has always had a jag on for England and the Anglican Church. His wife of like 25 years, Robin, was Anglican and he made controversial, lame comments about how she might not go to heaven as a result of being Anglican despite her intense piety and love for Christ…

I don’t know, you have to admit that British accent works just a little too perfectly for the evil villen type…

Yes…and I could never understand Mel’s thinking on the whole hardcore pseudo-sedevacantist Catholicism elitist approach coupled with living in a state of mortal sin cohabitating AND having a divorce with potential “remarriage” and having a baby with a lady then beating her and expecting to reconcile the religious and hedonistic/sadist lifestyle preaching to others? That eluded me as well!?

I used to be a huge Mel fan. Lethal Weapons, the Road Warrior (still in my top five favs of all time, hands down), Braveheart, Patriot, Passion, Bounty, so many great movies, such charisma…and it seemed, integrity…

The anti-semitic stuff bugged me, too…😦

I understand he is bi-polar, which makes everything you just mentioned make senes. My brother is severly bi-polar has has many similar issues, though he’s not as “hard core Christian” as Mel.

I’ve never heard that; all I’ve been aware of is his alcoholism…

In all the searching I’ve done, it’s all speculation really. People ask “Is Mel Gibson bipolar?” and you hear maybes and what-ifs, but no hard diagnosis? And with Mel Gibson’s back against the wall, I’m sure he’ll grasp at straws at this point…

This ABC News article on him actually asks psychiatrists to speculate and they say he doesn’t seem to have the symptoms of bipolar disorder?

From the ABC News article:
***But psychologist Melody Anderson believes that Gibson’s latest tirades don’t bear the hallmarks of bipolar behavior.

“Usually in a manic episode, the conversation is very rapid. Words come together very quickly. Listening to that tape, the way he’s speaking, he’s sounding out those curses,” she said. “It sounds a lot more like a sociopathic kind of personality, and those are people with absolutely no remorse and no ability to have sympathy for someone in pain.” ***

It’s been all over the presses, his alcoholism also fits nicely with a bi-polar disorder.

I just watched Indian Jones and some crystal skull; awful.

Armageddon was poor.

Matrix and Braveheart still the worst films.

Saw films are sick.

Agreed on most but “Braveheart?” For God’s sake that’s a total classic! Loved it! 👍

I still haven’t even seen Crystal Skull, just a few minutes of it on TV. I heard it was so AWFUL from so many people that I guess I don’t want to see my beloved Indy dragged through the mud of a lame movie. I heard there were “monkey people” or something like that…ay yay yay…

Why can’t they just keep the formula simple, tried and true? Nazis, magical objects, whips, fear of snakes, lots of violence, humor, and at least “some” feasibility? 😛

The most recent truly lousy movie I’ve seen is “Black Swan.” I danced with NYC Ballet for twenty-two years, and I assure you that the real ballet world is nothing like that lunacy depicted on screen. We would have throttled such an “artistic director.” I didn’t even care for the choreography, the Black Swan coda was possibly the worst interpretation I’ve ever seen. Possibly the only redeeming work was the costuming and the special effects. Tschaikovsky’s score saved this one from the cutting room floor.

I can’t believe this psychotic abortion won Oscars! Phooey! I nearly threw my popcorn at the screen!

Other horrendomas:

Easy Rider: Acclaimed as an art and countercultural film in the 1960s, it is unwatchable unless one has consumed mass quantities of marijuana. I hadn’t. I fell asleep. Again, the only saving grace was some of the old music.

The Truth about Cats and Dogs: Ridiculous phone sex. The ASPCA should have been called in with that poor dog with roller skates tied to his paws.

The Breakfast Club: Those kids deserve after school detention a la Catholic high school standards.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off: Again, more Catholic high school detention would be in order here.

Dumb and Dumber: Enough said!

Now pardon me, I have to go find an antacid. Or possibly an antiemetic!

Dumb and Dumber and Ferris were AWESOME flicks, come on!!!

Oh, and how could I ever forget, even though I wish I could from the bottom of my heart? The Billy Jack films. I could say more about them, but this is a Catholic forum.
